Chapter 1 - Lazy Whale Holdings
As you guessed this is a holdings corp for the purpose of the IPO so that no one wardec's my main while the stuff goes on.
Chapter 2 - The Business Plan
Over the past few months ive succesfully made jump freigthers and sold for a steady profit. I've seen the IPO bonds made by all the people, taken parts in some, and now I think its time for me to try and make one.
The Point is to build a jump freigther, sell it within the month and then pay out the dividents.
If it goes well, and I find it fun, i'll allow it to run for another month, if everyone agrees, if not the bond will vanish and people will be payed back their investment fully.
Chapter 3 - Assets / Colatteral
My main currently holds for estimatedly 4billion in ships, 4 billion in shares and liquid isk of 5+ billion. Which should in terms be enough if I sold them to make the jumpfreigther myself, but as stated, this is to try out the IPO system and to let peoples isk grow.
Chapter 4 - All the Risks
The current risks, which is extremely small, is a freighter suicide. A freigther trip, one trip, is all that will conduct and rest of the things will be done in station untill date of sale.
A war dec wont happen unless someone finds out what my main is, in that case, I will let another day go by and leave the corp with an alt to move it when its free of wardec.
Reallife risks can be that I am not able to acces the comuter which can slow the production by a day or two, this will be notified to all shareholders and each day that exceeds the estimated month will result in 0.2% added ontop of the 6%
Chapter 5 - Exit Strategy
Should the freighter suicide do happen, and all the isk is lost, I will sell whatever ships I have to regain the isk and pay it all back, with the 7% interest.
Chapter 8 - IPO Phases, Dividends
To cut it out easy
Shares:
3500
Price per share:
1 million isk
Estimated return per share:
6% - 60,000 isk.
Maturetytime:
1 Month (extention possible)
Payout date:
1 Month after project start.
There will be 2 phases of this IPO
1. Audit Pending
2a. Reservation of shares
2b. Receiving Isk - Sending Shares
Meanwhile Audit pending is ongoing, your free to reserve shares, I know most wont, therefore the IPO.
The shares reserved, will be guaranteed to be sold, over the ones that just send isk later.
Chapter 9 - How to get Shares
There is 2 ways.
during this period where audit is pending, you can write in this thread, should/once it reaches 3500, no more bids can be added unless a reservation falls off.
Should the 3500 not have been met, and Audit goes live, you can follow the below process to buy the shares:
1. Send an amount of isk, divideable with 1 million to Lazy Whale in game.
2. You will then recieve the share within a too distant future, depending on the time of day. If all shares is sold when you send the isk, it will simply be returned to you. This is a manual process done by me, so please be patient. |

The minimum divident is 6% and if the month of time is exceeded 0.2% will be added each day. that means if one week pases, the dividen will be 7.2%
Q: What if someone War Decs Lazy Whale Holdings?
Nothing happens, Lazy Whale Holdings is nothing but an alt corp.

Do you need this money for this to work? If not you are just throwing away cash.
Are you paying 6% or 7%? You shouldn't use the term "estimated return" for a bond -- it pays what you says.
Is the bond capital to be separated from your personal assets? Can you offer any security?
Are you inventing the blueprints? If so what would happen if you had an unlucky streak that wiped out a couple of Billions? Will you even make the interest back on one JF sale -- probably not as this is an average game.

It's seperated fully. The security, also written above, is the fact that it will be my undisclosed main that does all the work, and the security will, well I suppose it will be the audit that prooves i've got enough assets to pay the isk back.

No I am not inventing anything in any way, I am simply buying the components, building, and thats that.
5. Regarding Audit
I am hoping to get Kazuo Ishiguro to make the Audit, but he haven't answered my evemail yet, not accepted the convos I made towards him. Hoping to catch him later today (its 5am here)

However my only concern is the payout date, what is your latest that you will be starting this, factoring in any problems, because a 'rough' start is a lil bit grey imo.

In all good calculations I should pay out 1 month (+/- 3 days) after the shares have been handed out. Might have misunderstood the maturetything, so ill remove that.

I think your crazy trying to build jf's, at this point with the numbers of sellers in the trade channel its possible to pick one up at build cost.
Wasn't to bad in the summer with margins of 700m-1bn per ship, but these days your lucky to make more then 200m.
Anyway numbers, assuming you make all the t2 components yourself from the complex reactions your looking at a build cost of between 3.3-3.5bn, (depending which jf you build) and thats assuming your using a me-1 bpc, add 300-330m to the build cost for a -2 me bpc and so on.
I was building on average 8 of these a month until the build cost became to prohibitive and a month on I've still not managed to liquidate the assets left over.
On a plus note if you do go ahead I have some me-1 bpcs still to shift ;)

I'd have to agree, the last JF that I assisted on went out the assembly back at the beginning of sept, at which point production was moved to components where most of the margin moved too. |

After patch deployment it seems we got 2975 shares reserved so far with audit pending.
So were down to 525 left.

OK Audits finished.
Summary: Went through 2 account API's, the 6 characters between the accounts were in the same corporation (oldest character with 60m+ sp) and were doing activities such as fighter production, rig construction and sale and a reasonable varied invention program.
The skills needed to construct the components and build the jump freighters were divided between 2 of the the characters and various parts were in place ready to go, the component bpos were in research for a few more days.

Thanks for the audit.
It's true about the parts, they will be ready for build sunday after dt.
So heres how its gonna go:
To recieve the shares, send the isk to
Lazy Whale
Before the 30th of November
By the 30th of November I will hand out all the shares and the production will commence.
By the 30th of December, (yay day before 2009 arrives), I will send out the dividents of minimum 6% as the month have passed.
To get your isk back when the project has ended, send the shares back to Lazy Whale, from the 31st of December and onwards.
I need the shares back in case of later use, so remember to send em back from at new years eve or after, deending on your drunkenness  |
