Hi all,
Not sure where's the best place to ask... The question is: is there any way to change school of another race. For example I'm Caldari having industry career but I want to play on Gallente's side and change my career to Gallente industrial and follow Gallente's storline missions. What should I start with? I don't want to recreate my character, this is exactly what I wanted, have character of one race but play on another's side.
Thanks.

you just start to work for a gallente corp,,, you can find gallente corps through "pleople and places" or through your charector sheet's standings.
to fly gallente ships, you just go buy the skills and start training them.
that simple. |

There's a corp and there's a school. What is a school for then?

CAS and one other (can't remember) are the starting noob corps ("the schools", if you will), as well as The Scope.

Open your character sheet and read all the nice information. Loooks pretty doesnt it ? Now close your character sheet.
Welcome to EVE
Your character basically starts life as per creation. your a caldari pilot by birth and your starter corporation is only where you begun life. all that information on the character sheet it purely from creation and is pretty and informational only. its all dependent on how your character sheet begins and where you choose your skills direction.
Welcome to EVE
You have many many career paths and your skills are the most defining characteristics you can train any path you desire and are not limited to any direction/race/ship or anything. your only restrictions are skills currently available. if you want to train for gallente ships then your more than welcome to.
Welcome to EVE
when doing missions its just the same. you can initially live anywhere and access most L1 agents of every faction/corporation but once you begin to fight for a certain faction/corporation then it will become increasingly difficult to change in the future
Welcome to EVE, we draw you in with a plethora of content then slowly **** you over. I love it :)

Open up the people and places interface and type in gallente to the search. under the member corporations list you will see a list of corporations. if you select one of theese corps you should look in the agents tab. it will list agents available to you. choose one then fly to his location and get talking.
you might what to start in the starter system for gallente and go through their tutorial as it will escalate you into the mission system for gallente. Sinq Liason, Essence are 2 empire based Gallente regions which should have the majority of gallente agents. I dont know gallente that much but im sure someone will direct you if you head towards those regions.

One thing to note, although you can mission for Gallente all you like, any NPC corps you are in are decided by your character creation, you won't be able to join a Gallente NPC corp like the scope or one of the schools.
Exception to the rule of course is the Gallente faction warefare npc corp which you can join when you get enough standing.

I think the different schools are simply following the roleplay and perhaps more importantly they enable a character to be located in the correct racial space where you will find agents of that race. There is not much else of use IMO about the schools. The tutorials are the same as far as I know.
"School" is somewhat of a misnomer since most players seem to learn more from other more experienced players. Which is one good reason for joining an active player corp instead of remaining in the school starter corp.
This website may prove helpful to you in looking for a Gallante agent.

The school just dictate the skill and career path during creation but after that u can really do whatever u like.
For example i am a caldary pilot but since i join a corp that was based at the momnet on amarr space now my amarr standings are good and i do lvl 4 missions in amarr space.

If you're new, run the following arcs listed by value (Business/Military/Industry). Run the 2 missions for the Tutorial agent, then the arc from the Event agent in the only station in these systems.
Amarr: Conoban, Deepari, Pasha Caldari: Jouvulen, Uitra, Todaki Gallente: Trossere, Couster, Clellinon Minmatar: Embod, Hadaugago, Malukker
