Mothermoon for some reason is incredibly bitter about the ability to fap over your spaceship in Ambulation not being a priority and so not being included. And likes to mention this at every opportunity. And is also immune to any counterarguments, such as that for the spaceship to look good at the kind of scale it will be for a person standing next to it, it would require a lot more work, and for what?

When I'm in structure, I've already selected a celestial object and am spamming the crap out of the warp button. Using this method, unless you're in a bubble or suffer heavy lag, you should always be able to save your pod.
Please do not put in a pre-rendered ship destruction animation which will destroy this. Implants are expensive.

wow someone didn't read my thread at all.
I said it can even be just a window and you see your ship from far away like floating where it normally does.

i think it would be a good idea, maybe they could have a few pre-rendered scenes so to speak, like 3 or 4 per ship maybe
and like someone said, it needs an off button, maybe an off button for each thing (docking, mini explosions from inside the ship, gates, ect.) each one needs to be able to be turned off indiviudally, because if im undocking to help some corp mates, i want to be able to undock as fast as possible, but i would probably still keep on the mini-explosions before the ship exploded

you do have a good point, but maybe the mini explosions animation should begin when your in like 15% structure so you can still see the pretty aspolosions (even though they are on your ship)
and again, there would of course be an off button

So long as the animations don't needlessly extend gameplay time by making you wait for them to complete even if loading is finished, I don't see the issue

Having to watch a 10 second cutscene instead of waiting 2 or 3 seconds to jump/undock would just be annoying.

I would like to suggest a short animation for when you wake up in a station in a new clone. Would probably lessen the immersion break of "flying in space, pew pew pew lag lag lag, wake up in station"

I quite frankly and honestly disagree. The "welcome to the afterlife" speech is immersive enough and should be expanded.

I support the op with the on/off option. I think this would benefit CCP if they implement it. New players will definitely like it and spread the word about EvE.

Ambulation edition: When you undock, it shows your avatar struggling as some machinery holds him/her onto place and inserts all the cables and tubes. Then puts that person into a pod and the pod is transported into the ships in a rube goldberg machine manner. Includes alot of bouncing, sliding and rolling on the pods side.
And then something either slingshots or pushes the ship out of the station. ---
