Ok... sure... but I'm willing to bet good money that 90% of the problems would go away if they just make a client period and not use a translator.

Probably, but that means learning new stuff for the sake of a minimal market share (windows rules the market). Financially, they won't. SPECIALLY not at the moment when you look at the economy of the world.
At the moment when corporations are cutting back...don't expect a company from a land that got whacked real hard...to actually increase funding for a market niche.
It's a good thing Parallels is doing nice work...

I'm still dumbstruck that problems like this didn't show up anywhere in testing. I can understand minor problems, but there are ONCE AGAIN people who can't do anything with the client.

yeah,
I had this problem last patch.
The rollback to cider solved it.
Today there was a new patch.
I have the keyboard problem again.
Please fix.

Patch Come 1.0.3 and Does not fix the problem.
a) the problem arise with the 1.0.2 of quantum rise.
b) Is strictly joined to the "multi charset" for cyrillic chatters
why cannot be fixed?
and why there is not an official answer to this thread? WE ARE COSTUMERS LIKE OTHERS.

I can use a hot key for Eve voice, but none of my other keys (function keys as well work).
Also, my mouse wheel makes my view zoom in and out from the ship/solar system/star map.
Mac OS 10.4.11
2 x 2GHz Dual Core intel Xeon

With this patch I am getting keyboard problems even with eve voice disabled. AND you took away the rollback option? Your QA team is a joke.

True, there is a revert, but...
The kayboard have worked in the past. So the patch broke it. That can be fixed. Bugs that have been for ages are another matter (like the map bug), but this time CCP broke a working solution.
I can't rememeber a when we last got a patch that didn't breake something (not just bugs, but really breake). In the past i remember getting a lot of patches and expansions that didn't break working stuff.
Sounds like a rush job to me.

I accidently reported you. I wish there were a way to un-report, or at least move the report button away from where a reply button might logically be, but isn't. :(
In any case, it isn't just the Mac. Right now I am experiencing this issue myself. It's the third time in a week it's happened. I can't even paste in text, not even if I cut it from within Eve itself.
So it's also not a keystroke issue. CCP, are you listening? This is good debug info. :)
No other apps have problems (I can type this no problem after all.)
Oh, just made another great observation for debug. If I highlight some text in the chat entry line and type, normally you'd expect the highlighted part to disappear and be replaced by what you type, right? Well, it does disappear! But what I type never appears!
So it's clearly not a keystroke read issue whatsoever. To sum up:
- Paste doesn't work, but cut and copy do.
- Typing to overwrite selected text makes the selected text disappear, but the new typing does not appear to replace it.
