Oh yes to that. Loved EMMA, bought new lap top with Vista OS and that was the end of EMMA for me. I have been installing and uninstalling SQL and EMMA as Admin and not as Admin so many times. I have more or less given up to be honest.

At last, got the beast installed and working ok.
Removed everything SQL, 2005, 2008. Removed everythng EMMA and deleted all folders left behind. Turned off User Account Control Installed SQL 2005 (As Emma install failed when attempted) Installed EMMA
Now working.
This Admin business in Vista is a right royal pain.

Vista user here, and whilst I had to change a few settings, my Emma is running fine. Turned User Control off, installed SQL, then Emma, then turned User Control back on, and all was happy.
Your experience may well, and indeed would appear to be, rather different. BUT, you are not prevented from using this fine app if you run Vista. Just thought I would say

Originally by: Linda Tradition hey, i've setup my system, so i've had to reinstall emma. i installed frameworks, then mysqlserver then emma. i can create the emma account, but i cant connect to the api server. so when i try to create my api-account i got an error box "Problem retrieving data from eve website" (E500)
so is this by emma, by ccp or by my connection?
regards
I have beeen having various API issues with various apps all day, so my guess is API fault, not EMMA.

I've been consistently getting this error for about a week now, any resolution?
Ditto
not a helpful comment perhaps, but maybe its important that someone knows this is not restricted to the above poster..
