Logged off in-space last night. All modules online.. Log in this morning, 4 modules offline..
At least you can turn them on in-space now, even if it does takes forever to turn on four of them. because of the cap penalty.
But when it happens, it's still a sad reminder that you guys re-implimented one of the most annoying bugs in the games history.

no, the most annoying bug is the one where your gun stays switched on and you can't turn it off until it runs out of ammo.

That or when some module stays on and doesn't turn off until you are out of cap.

Love it when I change ships in space only only to find half the ship offline.

Yes,
But that is caused by your ship having to shut thoughs modules down because you and your skills aren't in the ship anymore. You need your skils to have all that stuff online.
But me.. I did NOT eject from the ship, yet i'm getting the same problem.
It WAS fixed. It was in the patch notes that it was fixed. But now it's broken again. THAT annoys me more than any bugs in the game. The fact that the DEVs fixed it, and then some how broke it again a month later.
And now it will be another month or two before it is again fixed.
Slightly annoying nStuff.

This is the first report that I have heard about this problem still being around.
There have been many different things causing this problem since the beginning of time. Its never been the same code being rebroken. So, that leaves us in the same position as before, when someone (or myself) can reproduce it with a given ship fitted with given modules and perhaps a given set of skills, then I will fix it.
Those who experience it and do not mind helping out or just want to get rid of this bug once and for all (hopefully this time), if when you notice it, can you please take note of several things and send an email to [email protected].
The things that would help are (and please give the full names of the types, its not unusual for me to receive a reproducibility list and have no way of finding or knowing what the reporter is talking about):
- The characters name. - The type of the ship. - The types of modules fitted to the ship. - Exactly which modules were offline out of those fitted (including which slot they were in if there are others of the same type which did not go offline). - The approximate time in GMT when this happened (can use this to hopefully determine what skills you had).
Thats pretty much it. Please send this information if you can and I'll see what I can do.

WE will of course get a nice in game reward for sitting down and giving you all this Quality Assurance information instead of having your QA do exactly this I guess ?
I m suffering from this bug occassionally too and it is really annoying to have my tempest fire until the ammo of my 1400mm howitzers, loaded with fusion is gone. This applies at lest when shooting at Predators and Depredators. Hope it helps
Please feel free to forward the data above to your devs.

I'am pretty sure unlocking ones target also cancel the lockup. Haven't been able to verify of late. Never argue with a stupid person. They will drag you down to their level and beat you through experience. |

Oooooh, that works! Won't work with modules that don't require an active target though
On a related note, I've ejected from my ship a lot lately and, most times, I log-off in space.
I've yet to suffer from an offline module though.

Yup. Had this happen to my yesterday with an XL shield booster. YAY, cap GONE! Glad it was sparring/testing and not PvP, or I'd be down a BS.

If you want to test this nStuff..
Just put all the available skills to lvl5..
Get an interceptor and outfit it with plenty of turrets, MWD, whatever.. But the CPU and Powercore should be almost tapped out..
It should look something like this.
CPU 134/135 Powercore 44/45
Very close to, or all the way filled up.
Then log out in-space, wait 5 minutes (or tell timeout), and see what happens.
My guess is it's intermittent. So try this like a hundred times..

I have this when I change ships in a station and then quickly undock. You no longer have the fasten your seatbelt message, but it seems like because of this not all your skills get applied. This often leads to offline modules or your shield not fully charged.
