Use the "remote repair augment I" rigs for starters.

I fly the oneiros so im not 100% on the guardian (or missions for that matter) so will your guardian get shot by rats?, and if so you will need a tank.

Yes, your logistic will be shot at by rats. It has a massive target priority for NPCs so any new spawns will target your logistic even if it's 100km away and your mission boat is 1km away.
Be prepared to warp out if the rats have any range at all (nice how NPC torps go 100km, eh?) as your attack boat will be completely ignored. You can also use this to your advantage in some missions. Tank your logi, no remote support, and run around the fringes of the grid pulling aggro. Your mission boat won't be looked at while it chews through the distracted rats.

Effective HP means they might well die before the cycle ends.

Large RR have a 5 second cycle time its doubtful 5 of them (if 5 staggered correctly that is 1 rep cycle a second let alone 6) would need much of a buffer tank.

Use passive shield tanks. . .really
armor repping in level 5s with those neut towers is just crazy - also, the respawns just go streight for the repper. A RR Raven, Basalisk and NH is the way to go imo. ----

For starters, you need 3 ships to do lvl 5 solo effectively. Guardian, tank with highest resists possible, and a DPS mobile.
Guardian fit is ALWAYS 6xLRAR II+cap recharge+cap power relays+remote repair augmentors, the tank needs a cap booster to keep guns/resists running when you hit neut batteries, or the DPS ship needs a energy transfer.
The guardian with 6 LRAR II's and 5 light armor rep drone II's cranks out 547 armor a second, combined with a kin/therm tanked lvl 5 abaddon at (not the best) 91.9 therm 90.7 kin turns into a 7500 dps effective tank.
yes i donned my eftwarrior codpiece for most of that, but it doesnt matter, as long as you make DAMN sure you get all the aggro and all the spawns and bring in the guardian before you die, all is well.
It helps to have a 2nd guardian as i did RR support with no tank on a lvl 5, wasnt that hard.
the only other way to increase your effectiveness is to get a commandship with armored warfar elinks running.
at perfect skills one rapid repair puts the guardians LRAR II's at 384 armor bonus 3.33 cycle time and 22.41 activation cost, effectively turning the 547 armor a second into 691 armor a second. or 2300 armor every 3.33 seconds.
the best combo is tanking with a armored warfare link fit damnation with all 3 warfare links. and using a bonused guardian to rep.
other good tanks are the sacrilege, ishtar, and devoter, as its a maller with 7 low slots.
(hint: the devoter can get 177k EHP without slaves and combined with a commandship bonused guardian is capable of supporting 11k+ dps)
so, to be honest its not really JUST the guardian setup, but the setup of your fleet combined that makes the difference. Signature removed. Please resize to a mamimum of 400 x 120 pixels. Navigator |

2x gal logi 1x cnr 1x cs(giving bonus's only)
the cs was untanked sitting at a planet. I was only after the 3 armor bonus's
each logi did 380 armor a second with a cloak II in the hi-slots as well.
the cnr had 3 navy eanm and 2 navy bcu and 3 missile range rigs, the 7t2 siege had ofc javelin torpedos. range was around 65km med slots (on the cnr) were empty.

They do indeed they reduce the cap usage and cycle time and are very useful.
