Yeah, I love Tool and A Perfect Circle, but my favorite singer must be Chris Cornell(Soundgarden) or Jeff Buckley...

I haven't really got a favourite one at the moment, but Brandon Boyd is the only one I can really think of. ------------------------------------------

Despite being a huge tool fan, I must agree that Chris Cornell takes the prize here.
And also worth mentioning in this context is Corey Taylor (Slipknot/Stone Sour).
Just my 2 cents...

Mike Patton or Ihsahn, no one else comes close to those two, not even Maynard himself(AKA God). ---------------------------------------- Space-Slacker |

Orestas... Never made the connection...
You actually named yourself after the song? Or just a coincidence?

I agree a bit...
There are more talented vocalists out there but A Perfect Circle and Tool are nice |

You think I'm cultured enough to name myself after the play?
(No, Eris, I am not Xena's father..)

Could charm the birds out of the trees with his voice. While we're on the topic I know rock is subjective and all that but... Evanescence? Might as well say Michael Jackson is Rock.
I couldn't agree more. That voice is so hypnoticlly stimulating. My personal favorite BTW - Amy Lee is a great singer imo and the sound of their music IS rock. Also. Maynard James Kennan one of the best singers of all time.

Oh i see im not the only fan out there! :p
Mr. Maynard is one of the best, and most intense vocalist's I've ever heard in my life, he does great in the more harder songs that Tool does, and also has a warm and comfortable voice to sing the low tuned songs of Perfect Circle, and then he just freaks in Puscifer, it's so great :)
And his duet with Bovie is incredible!

Had to revive this thread.
A) I started listening to t0ol alot more, finally got myself to do it. And im in love. I was turned off at first, due to my love for APC... The two certainly are not the same, but tool is CERTAINLY one kick ass band.
B) Perfect circle is coming out with a new politically based CD sometime this fall.
C) Soon after the release of APC's new CD, tool will also make a new CD
We will be seeing alot more of maynard in the near future;) which is simply uber

I love A Perfect circle, and just about everything Maynard does. I recommend the soundtrack from the Underworld where he does vocals in a few songs. And the remix of 3 Libras is just awesome.
