Lazarann Caldari Ideal Machine	Posted - 2008.12.01 04:20:00 - [1] As the topic says, I'm apologizing on behalf of all Caldari players for whining so much about their missiles. My character started in summer of 2006, and for about 2 years was nothing but missiles. I have flown every sub-capital Caldari ship except for anything that hauls and the tech 2 BS's and I loved all of them. If people don't like stuff, why do they stick around and ***** about it? Just quit already. I'll be happy to take your stuff, or not, either way it doesn't matter. If you don't like the game then just quit, you won't be missed. Before people start saying I'm one such thing or another, I do missions, PVP, have mined before (but hate it), worked the market, and built stuff, live in Empire, low sec, and 0.0. This is not a "toot your own horn" post. Simply an "I hate whiners" post.

What a ridiculous statement. Rather than critique, complain and push for what you feel (with or against consensus) may improve the game you enjoy, you should just give up and leave? Imagine how much the world would suck if people just threw their hands in the air and said "what can ya do?!" and walked away every time they didn't like something at work or at school or in their family or in a relationship or in their community or their government or any other organization or function they may be part of. There's an addage in the open-source community: IF YOU DON'T LIKE IT, FIX IT YOURSELF RATHER THAN COMPLAINING ABOUT IT. The difference being that this game isn't open source, so someone who enjoys the game and is a paying customer only has a certain number of possible options - one of which is raising their voice (or also quitting and hoping a combined financial impact will steer things). Granted, there is a difference between whining and constructive criticism - and sometimes a fine line between them as well. Never the less, the idea that people should just leave because they don't like something rather than talk about it is amusing.

Taua Roqa Minmatar Groping Hand Social Club	Posted - 2008.12.01 14:24:00 - [15] I fly a CNR for missions and whilst i need to hit things a bit more sometimes to kill them i still melt through level 4s, I honestly don't see what the problem is. PvP wise missiles have been drastically reduced in effectiveness Vs small targets, which i suppose is 'fair' considering you used to be able to murder anything small with t2 P cruise or nuke anything big with t2 F cruise.

I was cruising through L4 missions in a Raven with less than 800k SP in missiles. I decided it was time for a change. So what did I do? I trained Amarr. Arguably the worst choice I could find at the time. Why? Precisely because everyone said they were so bad. Now look. A few patches roll through, and Amarr are the top of the heap, and I'm sitting pretty on a crapload of gunnery skills and top-notch Amarr piloting. I can honestly say though that I've been doing a few missions lately with a cohort of mine since our war targets won't ever undock if we are in system. He still flies a cruise missile Raven. With a target painter, he jacks stuff up as fast as I am lasing them down in my Apocalypse. So I think if you are packing five or ten million SP in missiles, you probably aren't feeling this change as much as others who, like me, were flying their CNRs with less than one million SP in their missiles. If you think things are going your way, just wait. Things change. Some days you're the windshield, some days you're the bug. If you think something sucks now, train it, because it will become the new FOTM in a year. EDIT: My point? Adapt or die off like the dead end of some evolutionary branch.
