wall of text needs food as it looks liek a wine.
Would you like some nice steak with honey pepper sauce with that wine? Or perhaps some artic salmon with a delicious pesto sauce? Or a vegetarian wok dish with a wonderful curry and rice noodles? For the salmon and wok I advice a with wine for the steak a red one.

And to the OP himself. Get a life, a dictionary and some formatting and someone might read your output. As a foreign speaker I got a headache alone from your first 2 lines. Having to guess for homophones is no fun.

Ship modules which can be repackaged makes no sense at all. If the goods have been used, i.e. fitted, they should be listed as second hand and not work as well.
After repackaging, since it's second-hand they should have a reduction in efficency. Why should second-hand be worth as much as freshly manufactured goods? It also puts a major kibosh on manufacturing.
If someone sells second-hand modules the effiency should be lower. This would be such a minor change to the program and would encourage people to buy blueprints and manufacture them.
At the moment there is no drive to manufacture goods since anyone can buy and sell them as new. This takes away the manufacturing component of the game. Why even have it if it's more expensive (dear??) to make a ship than to buy one that has been repackaged?
This game has major flaws to it's realism. Get a clue development team! This game has so much potential! It's a joke that it has not yet been realised. So stop smoking those legal drugs you guys get and straigthen up, have a serious meeting and get you act together! Think about things before you do them! Do some story boards like the movies and this game could really rock!
To those whom I know will complain about my grammar; get a life and go correct your own lives. As if all you do is complain about grammer!? Why not talk about the subject listed instead of grammar, since smart people sacrifice grammar to do the scientific thing like maths and engineering!
So go jump! I pre-emptied your complaints about my grammar, since you complain about everyone's! Go take a giant leap of a cliff I dont give a hoot!

I've sacrificed my eyes for you guys and actually managed to read half of it!!
What he means to say is:
There is no distinction between a 0km brand-new module/ship/equipment and a used module/ship/equipment. You just repackage it and they are the same. He proposes a market divided in brand-new products and used products and demands quality difference between goods.
Actually it is not such a bad idea. I don't know for ships, but for other stuff it should be possible to add a small tag, which is directly added to meta level of the product. When the unit is first produced this value is set. When a unit is repackaged this value can be reset to zero.
Another idea would be changing all t1 blueprints so that they produce meta lvl 1 or meta level 2 items. Whenever those items are repackaged, you'll get normal t1 items.
I'll rest my eyes a bit and try to read the remaining |

dear lord if my strip miners lost quality every time i repackaged them to move my gear to a new system i would be replacing them all the time.
And my Hulk?? to hell with that, im not going to buy a new ship and a full kit simply because i moved a few systems over to work with a friend.
As far as nobody building things goes, where do you think Titins come from? or damned near every capitol ship for that matter?
Stop whining and play the game, you might learn some thing.

And more killmails in one's mailbox should intimidate and force customers to buy the same goods for more money...only you cannot see that before you close the deal...
And Exotic dancers in your cargo should add to your Leadership skills, just like slaves should make your LAR work better and militants boost your weapons' dmg output...
FFS, ppl asking for fireballs in space, I understand... PPL that fully understand and feel ok with the concepts of nano-mechanics, molecular lvl construction and repairs etc, but hate repackaging - I don't...

People are actually building too much, which causes the market to be oversupplied.
Just look at the amount of T1 ships, modules and whatnot of every size and category.
Then again, less supply means higher prices, which is good for those that manufacture, but not good for the buyers.
What he wants is a "Bind on Equip/Pickup" type of system which will result in people discarding/destroying items after they have been used for awhile. That way items will be leaving the market and the economy, which in turn makes the demand increase/stay high so manufactured items will sell better.
Or if you want to nitpick, in this case a deterioration system.
The amount of items leaving EVE today is controlled only by the popping of ships (and thus modules), and the amount of items that get stockpiled on alts which are then rarely, if ever, used again.
An overflow on the market in high-sec (which is where the OP has lived most, if not all, of his EVE life) is a direct result of:
1) Most of the production happens in high sec 2) People rarely have their ships go boom in high sec (compared to low/null-sec anyways)
Adding this deterioration system into EVE will make the supply less in high sec, and even more so in low/null-sec. Even worse for low/null-sec since most stuff is repackaged when it gets shipped down. In turn this drives the prices up since the demand will increase (noone likes to fly with worn-out modules).
Rigs and implants are a prime example of this "item can't be reused" system. Imagine the low price on implants if you could unplug them and reuse them? -------------------------------------------------- "Every complex problem has a solution which is easy, neat and wrong!" |

Soooo ... sellers need to place seperate orders for used and new products? And, the server must store entries for said objects in a used or new status?
Four reasons this would not work: 1) It would double the size of the item database. 2) It would double the market query times. 3) Marketeers would have to micromanage sales. 4) The increase in server calls for new and used items would increase lag EVERYWHERE!
Tell me if I missed anything.
Also, you should take special note of reason 3, Micromanagement. Periods, commas, and returns are a great way to "micromanage" text!

I'm going to have to disagree with the idea, for the exact reason Hewican stated: people repackage ships and modules for far more reasons than just to resell them.
I do a little bit of lots of things in Eve: mining, manufacturing, mission running, exploration, etc. Every time I move the traveling road show (the mission running ships), I have to repackage at least 2 ships and fit them inside a hauler. On modules where I have multiples of the same one, I repackage those in the interest of condensing the display, since they only stack when repackaged. The only ships I don't repackage are either too big to fit in my hauler, or are fitted with rigs. Even then, sometimes I repackage other things that are flying with those ship. Now, if all those things got worse every time it happened it wouldn't be worth it. ______________________________________________________ Isn't it enough to know that I ruined a pony making a gift for you? |

on the other hand, this would force specialisation a bit more ... being a JOAT will be expensive materialy ...
otoh it will make moving around large amounts of equipment a pita ...
this could be solved with 2 things:
1. shipping packages - i.e. ship is not repackaged in the classic sense, but specialy for shipping purporses. the size does not get that small, but your fitting stays on the ship
2. module damage when fited. if you fit and refit the same modules it will get damaged. sinc you do not loose efficiency with HP (remember your ship can fight with full potential even with 1 hull HP left), this will only limit module lifespan --- SIG --- CSM: your support is needed ! |

No it wasn't really that funny. OP, I think I agree with you but fighting through the syntax was so difficult I'm not too sure. Is he asking for ships to be able to be shipped independently of pilots to other locations? Like if you have a BC you want in one station to a different station but don't wanna fly it? I could agree with that, with like maybe a 1 hour wait time for each jump en route to the new destination. Flying shuttles gets old fast.
