Originally by: Gundog Prime Well recently in 'The History of Gaming' book free with PC Gamer they quoted EVE as a dead dodo devoid of players...
So having more people on 1 server than ever before in gaming is a dead game?!?!?!?! 9k+ peaks regularly with a community not divided by silly difference in Servers is a dead game?
Memo to Self, never buy PC Gamer again
PC Gamer was always shi++er than the others, they don't know what they are talking about on much else either.

opens his copy of pcgamer the orig...etc. quote pg 28 "eve online, essentially elite, goes online in a 5000 planet universe but it's sadly bereft of subscribers" hmmm me thinks eve will keep growing, when (and if) shiva arrives (and if it is as good as we hope) then the game should see a MASSIVE increase in subscribers. But then again i dont remember reading the press statement saying eve was going under.

Are you sure you are talking about the US and UK editions of PC Gamer?
The UK edition certainly has been a fan from day one so it would be strange if they were slating EVE...

UK Version...
Personally i stopped reading alot of PC Mags cos of the way this sometimes happened, somewhere they'd say a game was crap only for them to say it was good elsewhere. I just thought i'd grab a copy cos of a few of the articles in it i was interested in. But i can see PC Gamer has 2 points of view on this game from things people have posted here...
BTW I have a mate who turned down a job offer from Rockstar games cos in his interview they slated Neocron and he loved it so much he told the guy where to stuff his job --------------------------------------------------------------
