Whats interesting is that everything is driven by a free market economy with no caps. 90 day GTC's were 300m, so me asking for 60's at 500 isnt that unreasonable. Also forgot, greed on the part of sellers.

Also I totally agree, and frankly getting more WTB orders out there with low prices WILL drive prices down. If prices go down, more will be bought with isk, in turn increasing the REAL money CCP will get further increasing their chances of survival through this global economic crisis. Driving prices down WILL be a win-win situation for everyone.

Where is the incentive for me to pay higher prices for the GTC in ústerling due to the exchange rate? If things cost me more, I'll pass these costs on to the end users in 1 way or another.

Unfortunately the global free market has results in a 50% increase in the cah value of GTC's to me, and yet I've only increased my asking price by 30-50 million isk - maybe sellers should allow the currently very fluid international exchange rates to dictate the price of GTC's. If you say 500 million is a reasonable price, I ask which country you're in and what youre exchange rate in US dollars is. This time last year my home nation was nearly on parity with the US dollar, and I would have happily purchased 3 time codes to sell at 500 million isk, but now my currency is about 60% value, meaning 2 time codes costs the same as three, so should I ask 750 million a piece? That being said - good luck on your campaign! I lvoe the fact that a consumer boycott can exist even in a game universe. ANd if you want a time code I'll sell you one for 630 million.

Capn Fluffypants	Posted - 2009.04.17 04:54:00 - [80] i sell quite a few gtc's. never try to **** others, but at the same time, im selling them to raise funds, not out of charity. you're not the first nor last to try and artificially manipulate prices, and despite all the pople trying to buy at some ridiculously low price, i've managed to sell a number of gtcs this evening, without cutting my own throat. the current prices of gtc's are based on supply and demand. want to lower prices/ try flooding the market. put your money where your mouth is, and spend YOUR money on gtc's and feel free to sell at whatyever price you feel is fair. me personally? i will never sell below 600, and i bet i dont have TOO much troubles moving the ones i have. but nice try :)

Who would spend r/l money for the game if they can sell in game isk that means nothing in order to play for free. Less people buying GTC's due to real life constraints means they will up in value. There has also been some market manipulation but I really fail to see how people are coming on here and selling GTC's for 750 mill isk when people in game are selling 30 day plex's for 420 plus...I guess people just like to give their money away.

Maybe it has something to do with China making it illegal to sell online game currency for real money, about a week or so ago. Just a hunch but when people can't buy isk flooding the market with isk prices will go up. Just a thought. Someone in the help channel posted a link for the article, google it. Just a sidenote, I used to be able to buy a CNR for 300 mil and over the last week they have increased from anywhere from 500mil to 1 bil. Go figure.
