I saw some bots but then I realised I was looking at my own ships mining in highsec. How did that happen? I was just minding my own business flying around and then BAM, next thing I know I'm sitting in an exhumer and mining veldspar.

Edit: What I mean to say is that it's a bit silly to order CCP to do something about bots creeping back. Why would they stop doing something about bots? Take the time it takes to get the mins to build a BS. Compare that time with ISK one can make from shooting NPCs. That will be the price for a BS. With current pay from lvl4s we are looking at 300+MISK for a tier 3 BS.
You may want to get yourself some frigate BPOs.

I have 0 interest in building them, getting blown up in them is way more fun.
The point at which I'm losing 300mil each time I explode is going to be a depressing day tbh.
This is why I fail to see the issue with bots.
Even those that mine are doing something else while they mine. It's this whole "I can do something else while playing a game" that I really don't get, doesn't sound like it's actually much fun at all. |

What you fail to realize is your time spent in game is a factor to how well you do in the game, why should everyone else spend countless hours mining or missioning to fund their enjoyment when you can just use a bot to get your isk and spend your actual play time having fun, that totally seems far to me. If you want isk for no effort buy a plex if you cant afford it, fly less expensive ships, if you dont want to fly less expensive ships find another game to play.

That genuinely sounds pretty good to me. When ship cost is actually based on the player effort required to build one (x hours of effort to build one = x hours of effort to pay for it), then we'll see a lot more diversity rather than settling on a few standard "best" ships because hull costs are almost irrelevent.
I for one would dearly love to see T1 cruisers and frigates become relevent again.

You obviously aren't really aware of CCP's track record with botting.
Mass banning wave, lots of talking about how great they are, how great their banning methods are, promises of continual bot banning, They'll promise it won't be like last time, where they got one massive bot wave off and then disappeared.

After reading and participating in the Scarlet Letter thread, I am pretty sure that they may be able to nail some obvious folks who clump around very public sales and software, I'm not sure they actually understand why people are botting (rather than playing or doing anything else) or even what botting is all about.
We'll see if they continue to clean it up, but I have stopped almost all PvE myself since it is very hard to keep up by actually playing the game.
Tears will be shed and pants will need to be changed all round. |

I've seen some bots return to the Everyshore ice belts. Reported them all. Can't say I've seen much in the way of Hulk bots. Maybe because all those new accounts only just made it to a retriver or something.
Either way. Get banning.

I was in Jita just the other day for some event that was going on. And right there at the 4/4 undock were ships literally covered in shield bots. Where was CCP? Why was this allowed in such a populous system right in front of everyone without a worry in the world. Too many bots for sure. The horror!
