Wikipedia is a great thing, but you always have to bear in mind that idiots and troublemakers also have access to it. On non-controversial issues, it tends to be fairly accurate. ____________________

You want people not to question what a figure of authority tells them? ____________________

That is wrong, a figure of Authority is Not better educated, he or she went to college to study law, and moved into a political movement.
how ever if you was to hold a large collection of professors from all uk universities and let them decide political and future preparation, this would be advantage.
Better yet we would have a better education system in place then we do NOW, it is those people that *****ed about the dumming down of the English standards.
Having a collection of the most bright and educated within the UK seems much much better way forward. Those will understand everything we know. and feel the same way we do.
this current madness is killing the UK. it is really becoming painful now to live here.
Well a figure of authority IS better educated in his case because in your previous post, you redefined a figure of authority to be someone who is eligible for a geek card. ____________________

Oh and as for intellectuals running the country, do you have anyone in mind for the position? Most would tend to look at the position of PM and think "good grief, I'm glad I don't have THAT job". ____________________

I'm not talking about Brown. You said that people should shut up and listen to people who are highly educated. You're simply redefining the figure of authority to be those people. ____________________

Originally by: Shanzem How can you class physical science and humanity greatest achievements, that have been done as a collective and group a mostly by the geeks of your society (the intelligent) how can respecting there creativity and education and good motives be the brining of the downward spiral of humanity? .
Better yet i would like to know what achievements you have done in order to show your appreciation for the country you have been raised in.
So if i built a Nuclear fusion device (a small Nuclear fusion reactor, with the abbility to produce x-rays and a small plasma reaction (same seen on the sun), and its something that my little town can be proud of, are you saying respecting things like that are bad?
Contrapositive reversal. You fail. ____________________

I understood that the whole of Wikipedia had been blocked or something? I wouldn't know though - I'm with BT and they don't seem to have blocked it. I can even view the page with the "offending" image. ____________________

lol! ok another ale for me to try!
old peculiar is a very nice ale to drink while sitting down and getting oneself in a good book!, i have been looking for a good mystery book for some time to go with the drink and mood
Depends if you can get hold of it. I only ever noticed it when I was living in Cov. Also, you tried Tribute and U.B.U? They used to consist of most of my beer consumption simply by virtue of being the two ales the pub at uni served. ____________________

I think I'd go crazy if I had to live somewhere with no real* pub nearby.
*of course by "real", I mean one that has cask ale in it. Not Wetherspoons. ____________________
