The current RP system was designed around the old lottery system and needs an update. All datacores should cost 50 RP each and the RP gathered per day adjusted.
Now LP rewards kinda suck as they are standard for most corporations. I think more thought needs put into which corps award for LP rewards. I will use Gallente NPC corps as an example, since I know them best.
Poteque Pharmaceuticals (biotech): LP for clone upgrades
Creodron (R&D): LP for T2, 1 run, ME 0 BPC, just make datacores part of cost
Allotek (manu) : limited run T1 BPC
Astral Mining : mining crystal BPC
University of Caille : skill books
Pend Insurance : insure ships for LP
Federation Navy : should be only place for faction navy Items/BPC
Chemal Tech : reactions
Fedmart : commodities
Just a little idea for better immersion and to help spread out mission runners.

wouldn't this pretty much cause all mission runners to flock to the navy stations and BPC stations? I do understand your point that Pharmaceutical company shouldn't be giving away Military Weaponry... But I think that your intended purpose of spreading out missions will have the opposite effect and consolidate them more.... who missions for commodities?
NINJA EDIT: I'm not sure if it's still the same, but my Kaalakiota Agents sell me more BPCs for things where as my Caldari Navy Agents sell me the items. IE: my kaalk agent will give me a 5 run Caldari Navy BCU BPC, and my cal navy agent will give me the module.

OK, change the commodities to POS fuel and people would mission for them.
The more I think about it the more I like the idea of being able to turn LP into BPCs.

Its bad enough missions are a source of minerals and salvage. The very idea of having yet another resource come from mission grind is completely detestable.

and mining profession obsolete too by letting you trade LP for fuel?

You could keep it the same as it is now an only chance how much LP they charge.
Such as a weapons station would have say a 5% discount on weapons.
or what ever discount toward what they're good at.
Not enough to change everyone around.
Enough to make sence.
