On the other hand, now you have to deal with the absolute worst in MMO companies, Nexon. I hope they only lose players for this. Hopping into bed with Nexon is a bad sign for the entire company.

sometimes I can only find it amusing how very much Cold War times EVE is, in regard of nationality. And that ridiculous angst of the Japanese which is floating in the forums, where does it come from?
It makes me only sad that the Europeans are only wanted because of their time zone, something is missing here, yeah where is the British angst of the Germans, what about the French, and should we not fear the South....it will rise again :)

Ultima Online had a large Japanese playerbase, race wars were always extremely fun with them.
Im honestly surprised that there isnt more organized large scale conflict with the russians... historically languge and culture barriers are huge conflict points in online games. It neatly organizes everyone into us vs them and helps get rid of smaller squables.
Come to think of it, what is the most contested front lines in EVE these days? Are there even any major conflicts at hand? |

I know this will come to pass, but i personally find it silly for people to band together based on "nationality".
People should band together because of common interests. Language might be a barrier tomany, but still... a game gives the perfect oportunity to delve and train another language.

I hate goons as much as the next guy, but goons don't stop. They're unpredictable and have extreme resources. The Goons fight multiple wars at once and come out on top nine times out of ten. Just because they were flying under a different banner in the past doesn't mean they weren't goons all along. |

GOONs are just another super alliance. There have been other people like the GOONs and they have fallen. The GOONs even fell once before.
You can say what you like about the GOONs but they aren't the immortal legion of Satan/God that their lovers and haters like to make them out to be. Eventually only a few will even remember the height of their power which has already passed. |

Everyone agrees the Japanese are high end gamers, so why not use it to your advantage before they all goin up and form a super blob to rival the top 5 alliances.
Get them on side in your corp or into your alliance and you will have perfect time zone coverage, europe, USA and Japan. Fully manned round the clock missioning, mining, producing and war.
But I do agree the Russians need to be exterminated, the filth that they are. |

Google translate is much better because i uses crowdsourcing to fix errors and improve translations.
There's also how they track your IP there and record everything you type in, to combine with all the info they gathered about you from Youtube and Gmail, which i think everyone agrees is not worrying at all. |

i have utterly destroyed many a japanese in multiple games. i understand how they play and act.
they will work hard, they will probably share many resources as well and help each other in times of need.
do i think they will take over null? hell no. |
