I would really like it if CCP would just get rid of the growth on the right hand side of the Omen. Either that, or put one on the other side to match it. I like my Amarr ships looking golden and powerful. If I wanted an asymmetrical and vaguely nauseating ship design, I'd fly Caldari.

+1000, but I doubt CCP will do it. Some ship designs are really ugly and Omen hull is at least not so bad. It seems that CCP is too lazy, or don't want to do it for some other reasons to change models.

I agree with the OP. That, and fix the Harb's 7th gun. Asymmetry FTL.

To be honest I think it looks quite good even with the weird growth on the side.
But I guess they are going to change the design of the omen/zealot as soon as they are going to off the Raven. Never

only ship i ever recall see being changed at all really was the ferox hull, in premium its symmetrical (its not in classic), they're not going to redesign their ships because you don't like how they look. Combat vessels arent about appearance anyways, they're about capability, i'd think only the gallente would be so self obsessed with the appearance of their ships to sacrifice functionality.

tye totally redesigned the scythe and changed the burst between classic and premium.
in classic the scythe looked like a hosefitting, and the burst like and angine or girders. in premium, the scythe looks like a waterwalker beetle and the burst looks more like a ship.

well, that thing on the side is nice and should stay, at best it should receive a counter part on the other side :) its a spaceship, symetry is not a must in space.
what i think would really improve the omen, would be moving the engine wings on the back higher, to about mid-hull. now THAT would rock :D

Thats because the poor minmatar fly scrap ships.
I do agree though the vast majority of ships do need some work. I hope tech 3 will have something nice to look at.
Functionality vs appearance. What are you talking about you think half the ships and EVE look like they do because of function. Oh man dont get me start how unsound many of the ship structures are.
Although I must admit amarr bs's do look fairly sturdy. Although im not sure why the apoc looks like its still under construction at some spots.
