Expensive - but I'm sure Disco can afford it.

I'm up for this. As I said in the blog thread though can we get some information on Hotels. I've got a sensitive posterior that needs soft mattresses. If the hotel's aren't too crash hot I'll just have to sort my own out so would like to know in advance if poss.
Oh by the way Keane are playing that music festival for anyone who is interested.

Originally by: Beringe 3. Yes, but very expensive. Up to 600 isk (~ $8.5 or 4.5 pounds) per 1/2 liter in bars, down to around 930 isk (~ $13) for a six pack (3 liters) in the government-run liquer store (only the government is allowed to sell booze in stores here).
As I recall (when I went there for Skjalfti) it was pretty cheap if you bought it in units of around 24.

Don't tell me the icelandic currency is in fact... ISK It would just be too much. I thought you were joking at first, now I realise it probably means Islġndska Kronor or something. Nothing like a good AHA-experience =)

Woo hoo.
My first dev reply and it's a good 'un.
After finding the 'non foreign' version of the site it all makes much more sense and the hotels actually look very nice. Much better than the Raddison I stayed at before.
The Hotel Nordica looks very nice. I love it when hotel brochures have pictures of Spas with svelte bikini wearing babes.
And for those worrying about the beer, don't. They had prohibition up until what, 1988, the place is so mad that you'd drink Kronenberg and not care. Plus they lace beer with Vodka. GREAT.
Ground rules for liasing with Iratus in public If attractive women are nearby and you mention that we are all on a Video Games fan fest then you will be instantly 'podded'

Originally by: Marcennis In parts of Warsaw (Poland), the water that comes out of the faucet is rust-brown. From, um, rust. In the pipes.
That answer your question? :D
Anyway, this is looking really tempting. I've always wanted to drop by Iceland, although I think I require a longer stay... still, something to look at. The "extra CCP content patch" would be a nice bonus
Really? I never noticed, but then i was always in the Marriot, maybe they put extra filters in or summint? <shrug> Wasn't that bad in the Holiday Inn either. Water in Wroclaw is perfectly drinkable though.
Now for bad water, try the Holiday Inn in Maputo!!!!! They take it from the swimming pool!!!! No JOKE! When there is a major drought by there standards, the local hospital comes down and takes it away .... seen it with my own eyes!
The only water i will be drinking will be in a beer bottle.
So, guess Icelands gona be perfectly safe <grin> in comparison Darwin 4tw
