With my skill points fast closing in on the 19.2M clone limit, I would like one of the CSM people to ask if any new Uber Clones are in the pipe...
I know im not the only one with this problem.

Maybe this means having to really carebear in empire space? or just log on to train yet another skill until they do sort something out.

A relevant topic...I'll hit 19.2 next week.
Uber Clones are definitely a desirable option, and consistent with the concept of introducing an array of advanced skills that would facilitate true career specialization. This would represent a major game advancement from the current state in which players, with a few months of training, are able to be highly proficient in multiple trades.
Alternatively, CCP may opt to leave the clone structure unchanged as a balancing measure. As players with greater than 19.2 million skill points get podded, their point totals drop significantly...maybe a million or more points at a time when one of their higher ranked level 5 skllls gets knocked back...making it more "fair" for players with fewer skill points...in that they are then fewer points behind the leaders.
I'm a skillpoint freak and very much a specialist. I favor the first alternative. I also think it is the better alternative for the game. Players need to be able to continually strive for growth and improvement, rather than stagnate at an arbitrary point level or become extremely risk-averse in their travels. Further, facilitating true career specialization would help promote a team effort and the corporate concept, in which players with complimentary skill sets join together to achieve a shared set of goals.

I think as soon as someone hits 19.2M there should be a character wipe

Strange as it might sound, I would love for EvE to be reset. But first when shiva hits... I would be fun to have a true player based tech race instead of CCP having full control over what is in the game and what is not... (It seems to me that the main reason we do not have that now is that they still have to make the later techs work as they go along...)

There is NO CHANCE that a pwipe is going to occur.
On the clone subject, even if I'm only at ~4mil I'd love to know that we don't get such limitations. On the other hand I do think that clones are too inexpensive. IMHO the new uber-clones should be uber-expensive (maybe the only way to stop Tank-CEO? )

Indeed a wipe is never going to happen.
I just so would love to play this game from start again. EvE II or something...

IMO Shiva should be a completely new game. Everyone starts from 0 again. It will never happen of course, to many people would whine and cry about thier Uber character and multiple BS. Still would be nice......

I'm sure a large percentage of the playerbase has the same attitude as me, and that's simple...
If there was a wipe, I'd cancel. No way I'm going through all that grind again.

lol..
The mentioning of a player wipe was meant as a joke I believe but now people are seriously commenting on it.
Personally i'm nowhere near my skill goals in EVE and no way they could force me to go through the struggles I've gone through yet again. It's ridiculous to discuss it for it will kill the game indeed. This is a non-discussion.

Why doesn't CCP just make a last clone at the top of the ladder that is open ended? When you reach lets say 10 million the cap would be 10 million and up (like 10 million+). That way you could go as high as you want in experience =). As far as making them really expensive, me being a newbie still, I feel the currect scale they are using will do. --------------------------------------------------- (\_/) Is this bunny or Picachu? Well, from a training point of view i too would hate to train over again... But looking at the rest of the game, money items, bp's etc. I feel the game is just missing the action of having the PLAYERS develop stuff and not allways be limited by how far CCP is in programming the game. So, when one day they have "finished" the game, i sure as hell would like to try EvE again from rock bottom and see how the world would develop...
(I know the facts of life is that a reset will never happen and that CCP dont want to split the player base by starting "EvE - World II". But I still can dream can't I?)

Good idead for UBER Clones, but then it's more challenging to have a limited point saver, keeps ya on your toes
Problem is tho, CCP are afraid that players will leave the Game because of the PWipe, let alone the coming of 'World of WarCraft.' Tho, I do agree it will be quite interesting to see ALL players starting from rock bottom. Hey I've just managed to get a Mammoth, but there are some things i would like to have done differently.
What would be a good idea for CCP, if they do the Pwipe, would be to give adv. players 1 mill points at the start. Then again that wouldn't really be like rock bottom, but near enough the notice the changes in EVE. and prevent too many players leaving EVE. --=--=--=--=--=--=--=--=--=-- Power corrupts.
