Hi all.
News on the keyboard issue: We have a fix in which is undergoing testing at the moment. We are going to release it as soon as it is done.
Please post your Quantum Rise 1.0.2 feedback here.
Workaround for station interior bug:
There is currently a workaround for those of you who are having this issue. Please note that this workaround can have graphics side effects, depending on what hardware you are running.
1. Open Finder 2. Hit shift-apple-G 3. Type: ~/Library/Preferences/EVE Online Preferences/ 4. Open the config file 5. Find the GLSL line and change the value from "Y" to "M"
Did the patch resolve any issues? Did it create any new issues? Are you seeing better or worse performance? Did you not get any option to patch? Please reply and let us know.
Thanks

I can assure the good doctor that this is not even remotely close to what's going on at CCP, our developers never sleep.

Edited by: Anny''sae on 11/12/2008 12:51:41 soà - it's once again impossible to launch 2 account in the same time. - copy-paste once again need to use the ctrl, previous patch (EVEO-Revert-001938-001481) allow us to use command (like good mac user)
I don't want to be rude, but it's seems that every mac patch make thing WORSE
Hope you'll be able to fix it

Are you trying to launch them from the same install? If so, please try to duplicate the install (Right click Duplicate) and then launch the second client. This should work and how it is meant to work from now on.

I was totally unaware of this. I believe that this is also in fact by design. But if this is a major problem, then we can look into restoring the command function.

Edited by: D''Alfonce on 11/12/2008 13:36:47 Hi, Im also a mac user and nothing about the new patch seem to work. The revert patch it self refuse to install (You can't apply the Patch on this File !)
Next step, re-install clien and patch in order to see if the revert will work.
Thanks

Well, it's not a major problem like the OMGWFTFICANTPLAYANYMORICANCELMYSUBSCRIPTION!º!!, but it's sure pretty annoying when we wish to copy-past from ingame<->outgame. Like Francis Cabrel said "C'Ttait mieux avantà"

cmd works for me with 2027, although it still adds the terminal character, what's up with that?

It seems to me that the problems that I have any time after a patch, when I turn on audio, it acts like the control button is constantly depressed.

To run the eve client with the debugger on, follow these steps 1. Open Terminal (Applications/Utilities/Terminal) 2. cd ../../Applications/EVE\ Online.app/Contents/MacOS If you have renamed your eve online app to something else, cd into that directory instead 3. ./cider -debugmsg +seh,+tid,+module,+debugstr &> ~/Desktop/EVEcrashlog.log
what does it say when it crashes?

I would interpret this to mean that this patch is a "CON!"
and thus it is wisely ignoring Drive F, since I dont have a drive F.

A quick question though: since QR1.02 didnt work and we had to revert and now that 1.03 doesnt work and we have again reverted - does this mean we are running QR1.01 ?
You're reverting on the version of Cider (the Windows wrapper) used, not EVE itself. ---- FREE Explorer Lead Megalomanic EVE Null-Sec Player Influence Map http://dl1.eve-files.com/media/corp/Veritefw/FWinf |

Hello All Same issue for me with a 24" mac. This might be an obvious question for programmers but to the non computer literate (i.e. me) it's a puzzle. The patch renders eve un-loadable. Someone suggested uninstalling everything and reloading. So, my obvious question is: how do we un-install on macs?

Thanks for the revert, but I've had to use this method now for the past few patches... When will a patch come that actually works on my mac? Im ok sticking with the version I'm at, but whenever I open Eve I get the message: "A new update is available, do you want to install?" (Not in those exact words but along the lines) Slightly irritating, as you can imagine. Can the reverts include a script to fix this?
I love the game, I just have a few minor issues with it
Thanks

Like I expected, the UI reworking definitely made the game faster by cutting down on the CPU overhead. It's still pretty slow though; I still can't break 30fps on my Nonni 3-1 POS test. The performance difference between Parallels and the Cider client seem to have diminished some, they're within a couple of frames with the POS test, and everything else easily repeatable is fast enough that Parallels more or less caps out.
I wouldn't call EVE on the Mac playable, but it's better than it was yesterday.
Also, I think the F11 map bug has been fixed. ---- FREE Explorer Lead Megalomanic EVE Null-Sec Player Influence Map http://dl1.eve-files.com/media/corp/Veritefw/FWinf |

Not here though. I'm still at 30 FPS average. Must be my out of date MacPro 1st gen.

I have the same Mac and have had the same problem so thank you for me too for that revert! :) Plz do us a Christmas favor: do test the next patch on the mac at least insofar as to look if it does start at all, will you? You invest a good bit of work into writing those patches. It would be a shame if ppl start dreading them instead of looking forward to them!

I'm not on a 24" iMac, (I'm on a first generation 17" Intel MacBook Pro) but decided to test it anyway. I got the message "You can't apply the Path to this File ! Please re-install".
Any suggestions? I'd very much like to avoid having to re-install. Thanks!

Right click your EVE Online app, open contents, open the file version.plist. What is the CiderBuild version? It should be a 4 digit number.
