So last night I was semi afk mining in my Hulk and I noticed two low sec status people from The Final Stand in system, I was a bit worried but decided to ignore it. Anyway 10-15 mins later I see my overview lightup with ships from the rest of their corpmates and my Hulk loses its whole shield and nearly all of its armour. The idiots used the Orca trick to try to gank me and they couldn't even kill the paper thin Hulk.
I got lucky actually but this is still a big problem, CCP needs to make a statement on whether this is an exploit or not. It makes mining more interesting sure but its still an annoyance.

Suicide ganking is not an exploit. Avoiding the CONCORD consequences of a high-sec kill is. This is very clear from CCP. Unless they say otherwise, I cannot see how the Orca would change the fact at all - the same "trick" existed before and still does for those too poor to get one. All you need to do is have an alt eject a bunch of ships to a SS.

Easiest way to deal with this is to have your own alt call in concord prematurely.
Everytime I see people with really low sec in local. I bring an alt in a noob ship and shoot my hulk and call in concord. I repeat this until they give up and go somewhere else.
Not hard to do and pretty much the best way to deal with this. Calling in concord intentionally isnt an exploit either.

I get bored and feel like suiciding half a dozen t1 fit kessies into a hulk in high sec....admit its funnier when they pop, but concord was on us pretty fast this time I guess (or he had a nice tank)...

It was Concord getting there fast, I had absolutely no tank on my Hulk, hence the phrase 'paper-then'
Anyway thanks for the premature Concord idea I'd heard of that before but was too lazy to do it.

I only posted cuz I've been semi afk mining in my hulk for months now and a huge suicide wave of ships has never attacked me before and the fact that I survived. Most planned suicide ganks are successful.

I have to enter this discussion. Let's all rewind.. Let's not look at the names of the corporation or alliance for a second.
A planned/coordinated suicide gank on a miner with only a few thousand effective hit points is definitely worthy of a laugh if it failed. But it's all in good fun though right? I bet the hulk pilot wishes he was in the pirate's vent server the moment they popped. All while still mining away when concord was doing what they do best.
I can only imagine him spitting his drink out saying "GOD DAMNIT" when they all warped in - then when he realizes he's alive he just starts ballin' in laughter tears.

Here to set the record straight on the Hulk attack. Have at it afterwards all you want.
1. No Orca was involved in this operation.
2. The fleet consisted of approx 6 T1 Frigates and 6 Noob Ships.
3. This was one of several times we executed this operation, all previous operations were successful in destroying the mining ship.
4. Lesson Learned, No noob ships in the future, not enough DPS for the 2 to 3 seconds we have.

Btw I have no shame in losing a T2 fit Hype to a tricked out Rokh with Crystals. If you want to go about scholng waving by all means bring it. Despite your vaunted claims of taking our space YOU were the ones who fled. Whenever we tried to face you with equal numbers you remained docked. You complained about our use of Falcons but always had at least 3 on your camps. Despite having your own cap pilots you kept them docked and always complained about us 'maybe using caps' even though we only did it once for the smack (BTW Gustav nice fit, Cap Injectors on a Thanny, must try that). Your blatent scouts sitting uncloaked on gates (unprofessional tbh). I could go on, but I rid myself of this purile discussion with the childlike power gamers of the Eve Universe like a recovered Bowel Cancer patient throwing his colostomy bag on the fire.

I don't understand why TFS is being singled out here by the United Spartans. TFS almost a month ago joined an alliance named "Red Box." TFS didn't fail on this suicide op Red Box did. We spent a combined 5m isk on 6 suicide kestrels which are t1 fitted. We jumped into hi-sec knowing we were going to lose them seeing as thats the only alternative when you're -10 and jump into hi-sec and warp to a belt.
The hulk lived and we all laughed on vent as we exploded, we've successfully killed 2 hulks by this method and finally one got away... The risk/reward here I believe is worth it... Oh noes we lost 5m and no KM or Hell Yeah! LOL we just lost 5m and did 150m in damages to some afk nub carebear..
Sorry the morale of this story is simple, United Spartans stfu you'll never be as good as Red Box.

Napfest? We jump into local to have a look for some TFS to fry and see a cyno up on a gate. Myself and a corpmate in Navythrons are bait, we warp in to find TFS being face raeped by a carrier and limited support. I order the rest of the gang to pile in and we go to town on everyone. Then I see local lolz.

We just did tonight mate, 18 jumps man. Despite having around 20 pilots from your alliance online and by my reckoning a dozen or so active you all docked up when we appeared in local, despite outnumbering us and having superior EWAR capabilities (the way you like it).
