The accounts were banned, assets were seized, now we just need to hear that the bug was actually fixed.
After the bug is fixed, the economy will sort itself out. Someone might have a huge stockpile of Ferrogel in various outposts through nullsec, but that will be used up eventually. If they were to try to influence the market with it, they'd burn through it faster.
The upshot of this is that sending Dysprosium moon POS into reinforced mode will now actually have an effect on the market like it was intended to.
So can we get back to playing the game?

And which CCP employees were part of the corps / alliances!! Wonder which one T20 is a memmber of....
If any CCP personnel knew of this, then it is time for the CCP CEO to put a stop to them playing!! just my 2 cents

Srry, Scandal WeekÖ still has a few days left before people run out of new ways to poast the same drivel and every argument becomes circular.

True.
We are at a phase where the CCP news article is copied to an external site and then reposted here, so we can discuss the "new" development.

ive heard that this bug was going on for some time, at least 6 months. There must be alot of offenders and 70 is just the tip of the iceberg. I think the real thing people should be asking for is that ALL offenders be banned and not just some of them.
I would also bet that every major alliance has probably had some people exploiting this way and i think CCP should be very careful to not show bias, turning a blind eye to favoured alliance and targeting undesireable alliances instead

Most reliable and logical rumor puts the exploit at alchemy, which was introduced a little over a month ago.

I dont think the characters name should be given out. There right to privacy. If they wanna make and alt and come on and say they were banned then thats there choice. But CCP dosent have to report to you, or anyone else whos been banned or why.
The only reason you found out about this mass ban is because its CCP setting an example and hoping to scare people away from doing the exploit. And anyone not caught to stop it before they lose there account.
But people have a right to privacy. And its none of your buisness what happeneds to anyones account but your own.

Just kidding mode :
"By 2008, the market has become completely EXPLOIT-driven, and that's where I came in," says Gu=mundsson during an Edinburgh International Festival session. "The whole economic structure has become so complex, the data so vast, that a specialist was needed."

No need to release a list..
Seeing as all the major alliances are about to be in the classic GBC vs Someone war, we just have to see who's significantly worse than they were previously.
If BoB get owned hard, BoB were doing it. if NC seem to have forgotten how to own like they did in M-O, they were doing it.
Just have to watch. ---- Logins required for this post: 610759 Modicus Dementis is recruiting, join the channel Internet Cafe |

I'm completely stuffed from all the popcorn I've been eating reading this stuff.
fantastic work!
Would love to know what it is we are supposed to do with the info if CCP were to divulge the cheaters.
You going to create banners and posters and go walk down your local high street to protest then?
Just going to have to wait and see EVE settle down again and see if its still as crazy to have these big power blocks rampaging in their nap fests or if people will spot that there's really nothing in being a pet and hey, why not take it all for themselves ;0 0.0 lacks anarchy, higher percentage of blues out there than in EMPIRE! |

This tbqh. And if it doesn't concern you stop posting in this thread please.
I aggree with this, if the cheaters were using the space of a 0.0 alliance that alliance needs to be punished for this. If an alliance collected rent from the cheaters then those alliances need to be punished.
CCP, the players are losing faith in you. I hope in the next week or so you do the right thing and reveal the names and corps and alliances and you punish them. Punishing the alliances also include wiping out player stations if you find that the trail of isk was used to build those stations.

Players that have tried to ruin the game for us all do not have rights. As for what is and isn't our business, its our business how this game world is ran. If we don't like it we will speak up. If we still don't like it we express ourselves on 3rd party sites and quit the game. And we make sure that players thinking about joining the game know why we left, if you don't think that is power, then go look at the 3rd party sites about a game called Ultima Online aka UO.

Originally by: Weazy Trip I think I speak for a majority of the community when I say that the names of the people exploiting the pos mechanics should be revealed. The alliances who have been profiting off of this should receive DOCUMENTED punishment including dissolution.
Anyone who has received isk, ships, or equipment from the actions of the exploiters should have them destroyed and should be named as accomplices. Anonymity is not an option in a situation where the actions of a few have impacted such a large community. Ill gotten gains (from exploits, not scams) should not be allowed in Eve.

I would like to thank Ms Trip on behalf of the "majority of the community". The unique and well thought out plan she has put forward, was far too good for the likes of that 45 page behemoth everyone else is posting in.
