Okay this is not to me a good idea but with all the moaning going on it seems a drastic step must be taken for the obvious dozens of people so upset. So lets solve the problem so NO ONE has an advantage due to exploits, play time or anything else.
CCP just clean the server back down to day one, no pilots have any skills and must start from scratch, of course withhb all the neat new stuff like FW. Destroy all corporations and disband all alliances, let EVERYONE start from scratch.
There you go for all the cry babies the ultimate and fair solution for all.
Personally I think CCP is doing a great job and I am content to let them handle it and enjoy my game. As for naming the people that did these acts, I can see that point of view but personally I do not care and see no reason for them to be named. I do think however a harsher stance. DO not just ban the accounts they used for this. Ban ALL their accounts and make them have to start over. As for the alliance and corporations involved, clean out their ISK, their possessions and destory any assets they have built. Leave them all with a single ship, say a nice frigate and let them start over as well.

I agree with the OP but only if CCP does it in this way...
"Due to player demand the EVE servers will be reset. All characters and assets will be deleted.
And in others news the exploit was only going on for a few weeks, not 4 years. Have a nice day."

CCP just clean the forums back down to day one, no pilots have any post count and must start from scratch. Destroy all portraits and remove all stickies, let EVERYONE start from scratch.

As for the repeat offenders involved, clean out their ISK, their possessions and destory any assets they have built. Leave them all with a single ship, say a nice frigate and let them start over as well.

CCP usually bans all accounts affiliated with any person they have reason to ban. So it's not just the offending accounts being affected by this, which is good...

I would stick around if they gave all characters a skill training multiplier meaning the 4 years training time was condensed into 1 month.
On the other hand, having to change skills every 3 seconds could get annoying

And I should take my 45 mill SP Capital Pilot, my 44 mill SP Industrial, my 42 mill SP Combat pilot, my 10 mill SP Hauler/Miner, my 5 mill SP Combat pilot and go bye bye, because someone has a low loral judgement? Yeah, right ;)

So....... dose this mean I have to go back to 50k SP? Cause unlike you newer characters who are lucky and starting off with almost 1 million SP. Us 2003 - 2004 and maybe 2005 all started with 50k SP. And actually had to work for our SP, and money alot harder back then. Alot of 2003-2004 characters didnt hit a million isk for months in the game. While now you make an alt and you get a million inside of the first hour.
So brainy starting over from scratch? Where is the start? And are you actually willing to work for what you get? Instead of like now having it all handed to you?
And if you want to reset your SP so bad. You lead there Mr Suggstion. Delete your character and start over.

I think a reset in a lot of ways would be fun, but I wouldn't stick around.
Now if the Jove came and b-slapped everyone out of 0.0 and created a new space/gold rush, that I'd stick around for.

Yes, that's right, 10k SP. When I was at 103k someone told me about "the trick" where you go for racial frigate IV so you start with around 100k SP.
