Fixing CSPA Service charges
As a CEO & Director, I reply to and send a lot of eve mails.
The majority if not all of them charge me a 2,950 isk service charge. Which I am accustomed to and I am not asking it be removed.
However players are able to change this amount as they wish.
The problem I have is it is not obvious when it is different.
For example
Default $2,950 isk service charge http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y248/rfry/AcceptCSPAserviceChargeDefault.jpg
Non-Default $1,000,000 charactr changed service charge http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y248/rfry/AcceptCSPAserviceCharge1million.jpg
Althought they are different it is easy to miss when you are replying to a dozen messages.
What I'm asking is that it is changed... So that when the charge is changed it obvious... for example http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y248/rfry/AcceptCSPAserviceCharge1millionRED.jpg
All I am asking is make if easy to notice, obvious and easy to catch.
Let me be clear what I'm asking... If the charge is NOT default and is above > (greater then) the default charge then it goes red... so its obvious!

i totally agree. more then once ive gone and shot off a mail to someone i saw in space, and wanted to talk to, perhpas about something in their bio for example.
and gone *click**click**click* OH WAIT F***! and watched a mil drop out of my wallet.
skipping the CSPA is totally reactionary for me, ive been doing it daily for a year now. with the amount of times ive clicked past a 1mil CSPA by accident, i could probably make a fairly deadly PvP heavy assault ship with what i have lost. - PvPers always say "GB2WoW". the message is that EVE is hard, and people just need to deal with it. wasn't it funny how when nano's started making it hard for *them*, that all went out the window? |

There should be an option to have a CSPA refund window pop up. (You would need to turn it on) It would tell me your name, and have an option to refund whatever CSPA you paid if I don't think your a spammer... Or an option to refund your fee once I've seen what you have to say and decide your not a spammer (or someone else I want to be nasty to) ç¦ |

This
Also one of the biggest problems with the CSPA charge is that newbs don't know about it. It would be nice if the first time they used the messaging system it says "hey, by the way, did you know you are charging the people you talk to?" -Xindi Kraid CSFI lead engineer and shipwright

Considering a CSPA charge is a charge payed out to the communications systems directors, if you wanted to refund it then it would have to be from your own wallet. Just like when you take a collect call that you later decided you really wanted.. the company isnt going to refund the charge. personally i've never had issues noticing the price difference of a CSPA, but of course.. personal experiences dont always matter.
If its someone you needed to talk to anyways, then theres no excuse for their cspa to be so high, because they're either in a position where most people would need to talk to them anyways, or they'd know you were coming.. anyone else you can just yell at in local

I should also add that I believe the CSPA charge should default to 0 but if you want to set it higher you can.
Mine is at 0 ISK and so far I haven't had any problems with spammers, but it is nice to have an option to keep randome people from bugging me. -Xindi Kraid CSFI lead engineer and shipwright

If only it where really that way... unfortunately what should be and is, doesn't always match.
Just because I need to talk to them doesn't mean they're going to change all their default settings.
If you think about what you wrote... You gave only 2 options, they expect to be messaged or they expect to be messaged. Which isn't always true *********** Dasfry, Director Demio's Corporation

That doesnt make my statement untrue however.. all you're doing is verifying my statement that anyone who isnt prepared to be recieving conversations that they should be is an idiot.... and there is no patch for idiocy... yet..
but yeah... just consider it an isk sink

This topic is about improving the way service charges are displayed. I'm not saying anything about it being an isk sink. *********** Dasfry, Director Demio's Corporation
