This is probably a little OT for this forum but it's probably the pleace I'll get the most accurate answers.
I'm in a position where the CEO of my corp has been offline for a few months and probably won't be back and they hold 99% of the shares. I've got 1% so I'm able to start a vote but that seems to be about it.
I'd like to know if there is any way to get myself more shares so I can run for CEO and/or unlock the BPOs so I can move on.

Accountants can distribute shares if there are any available. Otherwise you need to hold a vote for more shares. If the CEO is offline he can't vote no can he? -Xindi Kraid CSFI lead engineer and shipwright

Yeah, I've done that and the vote passed... but doesn't the CEO have to action the vote to finally create the shares?

Directors too I think.
Personally I would raid the hangars and make a new corp with the old members or petition CCP to give the CEO the boot (the former is more likley an option) -Xindi Kraid CSFI lead engineer and shipwright

Hmm, I'm a director as well but I'm not seeing any options to action a vote. Will have another play around when the server comes back online.
Most of the stuff in the hangars is mine anyway, just trying to get it out so I can move on.

If you are director create 'run for CEO' vote and vote 'yes' for it. As long as no one does not oppose you you should end up as CEO of that corporation.

Except you can't do that unless you have at least 5% of the shares... and you can't get more shares because only the CEO can action the vote it seems.
So unless CCP looks favorably upon a petition I think I'm pretty much screwed.

Seems so then. When everything else fails you can try to unrent the office in what case the BPO's and stuff should end up impounded (you have to pay fine to NPC's to get em). Have not tried unrenting with locked BPO's tho so dunno how they exactly behave.

Create a vote to make more shares, set it up for one day, vote for it. Once the vote passes go to corp->politics->sanctionable actions->not in effect and activate it.
Directors should be able to do this. _______________ Pwett Founder <Q> QUANT Hegemony

Yeah, I've tried that too but no matter what I do I'm not seeing the button to action the vote.
The vote seems to have passed but I can't complete it. The "Knowledge Base" seems to indicate that only a CEO can do this but that article looks to be years old so who knows what the current rules are.
Perhaps a petition is in order to see if I should be able to do this.

Directors can't activate votes. I know has my alt corp I have the CEO and directors, and I always have to log on the CEO. However my old corp (on this character) had CCP change the CEO because he was inactive. So you should be able to get them to do it for you too.
