guys try to press ctrl + Q while client is loading then it will check for status and will work fine, worked for me.

Hey Guys,
Just hold down the enter button when you log in - it worked for me too - didnt even get the socket screen up at all, it just logged me straight in

How bizarre... I was on the laptop downstairs - docked.... disconnected to come upstairs (to find a way out of having to write a gazillion Xmas cards) and like you say - socket of closedness... hmm guess I should have written the bloody things downstairs huh!

Been getting "socket closed" for ages now, but always coincided with my cable connection dropping completely, so didn't think anything off it. However, cableguy came over yes'day and fixed my connection (or so I thought), yet I'm still getting the socket closed combined with my cable connection dropping. So now it's got me wondering a bit... lol

Hmm .. OK so I can't connect, no worries I can go do something else, but I noticed that the error I'm getting is "The Socket was closed"
This is the same error that has been randomly disconnecting myself and others (theres a thread in known issues about this) since Quantum Rise was deployed.
CCP any chance that the current major issue is related to those on going issues ? Perhaps something that has been slowly dying for weeks has finally turned up its toes for good ?
Thought it worth mentioning.

Maybe a bit less marketing expenses and a bit more maintenance?
Cause we really dont give a f*/* about ambulation or 1000 pilot fleet fights (which of course dont work) when we cant even play the game.

Next time try the patch on the test server before you bring it to TQ... There was no lag in Jita as long as there was no more than 900 ppl in Jita, and you could even log in while in Jita!
1.0.2 was okay - and now? 1.0.3 brings crashes (even blue screens!), breaks the server and does other nasty stuff.

Like a very nice shiny toy that you unwrap quickly, find a screw driver to assemble the pieces and then realise it takes batteries one household may buy once in a decade but then lose as they are not widely used, so although it makes a nice dust collector on a shelf it's not useable unless someone makes a specific trip to go and collect what is needed.
I hope the devs are working on this issue on a saturday afternoon.

Maybe these extremly tight development and testing cycles are not such a good idea after all?
I wouldn't have minded if Quantum Rise would have been released some weeks later but with better testing first.
And I really hope that the schedule for the next expansion in march contains enough time to do lots of testing and QA stuff.

This is just a few of the wonderful Christmas gifts we got.
Stop focusing on fleet ops and other alliance related stuff and make the game playable. There are other gamerelated things besides that.

I've resisted posting in this thread, but here goes...
WTF, had 2 accounts patiently waiting to log in. 2nd acc was going thru queue quicker than main (was going to post if i got overtaken).
Got to position ~700 with main acc, look away and find myself in position 2200+.
I don't think the queue system is working properly, i get booted to the end of queue with 1 acc, but my other stays in it's original position.
And now i've just restarted my client and am now in position 1k.
I'm confused...

Honestly children stop your complaining. Yes you have a skill that finished training. Yes you can't log onto the server in a timely manner...
Well guess what, no matter how good you equipment is, or your staff, there will ALWAYS be a problem. Finding workarounds and fixes is not as easy as you guys think. I am actually glad that CCP has released a patch that further increases the speed of the server, and unlike the rest of you, I don't get the issues yall seem to. Maybe it's time to upgrade your computer or your connection.

Whenever I have computer problems I have two things I always do that fixes them:
1) Reboot
2) Pee on power supply.
Luckily for me step 2 has never been needed!

Not to mention the client crashes a few times a day since 1.0.3 - and it almost never crashed before.

My computer and connection are just fine.
Running a Quad core with maxed out RAM and 2 video cards on a 12Gig per second connection.

I dont mind waiting in a queue now and then, things happen.
What is thouroughly annoying though is to be in said queue for a half hour, be down to under #100 then suddenly get bumped back to #1275...
WTF, if I have to wait in a queue, so does everyone behind me.

If your experience a problem where the login screen reports that you are #XXX in queue try to exit your client and start it up again and see if that helps.

I know you guys try hard and that sh!t happens and not everything can be forseen nor is within your control.
Thaht being said, the net impact of your "patches" over last 6 months have continually degraded the experience of the game. In other words, all you've done is made things worse with every attempt to make it better.
If you can't keep your sh!t together than at least give a token compensation the playerbase.

I have no problem logging in, however when I try to click "Could you give me some more details?" with an agent I get the following error:
INVALID PACKET DESTINATION
Wrong proxy or client not connected, session not found by charid=747574303
I tried to relog, same issue happened again.
The agent is Bunarolie Vetanailles in Vylade.

i can login fine now, but everytime i try to jump through a gate or enter a station, my client doesn't respond and i end up back at the login screen after a few minutes if in activity, im assuming its related to todays issues, can anyone help?

Stuff like this has been going on since 1.02 patch. i lost a pod in low sec from this.. and they say its us that are the issue.. not them..
