I'm sick of hearing "the loot tables are fine." I have seen the wackyness myself and so have 100's of others. I killed about 40 cruisers and received 0 cruiser mods, just small things like cargo scanners and crap EW. Every spawn all drops the same stuff and many cruisers aren't dropping cargo containers at all.
Please stop saying there is no problem, it's obviously working for some and not for others.

there's a way (or so I've heard, haven't done it) that you can chain nice loot over and over.

Logan this thread was started in the middle of July dude......when the poster posted there was ...in my mind nothing seriously wrong
There was a tiny issue that SOME BS's dropped a small laser or 1mn AB etc but MOST BS's dropped 1 or 2 large items each time. Then the usual crew jumped on the bandwagon and started shouting "Yeah its crap, I killed 5 BS's last night and didnt get one named gun" 
That was when the likes of Valeria and myself tried to argue otherwise. In the last month Ive done more npc'ing than Ive done in the last year and I was actually shocked by how much Isk you could make from bounty and loot refining and I only ever picked up the BS cans and ignored the rest.
Until Tuesdays patch there was only small issues and nothing to cry about. It was pure greed which drove some to post.
Tuesdays patch has b0rked the loot tables for sure though and now I totally agree with you. I killed 8 1 mil bounty Overlords last night in completely seperate belts and EVERY can was exactly the same and ALL items were basic frigate sized mods and most based around Shield resistance when the npc's I was fighting clearly focus on armour.
YES THEY ARE BROKEN NOW
but pre-patch there was very little wrong imho.
So HMV consider Andy Williams and Dean Martin to be "easy listening" do they? Tell that to my mate Dave, he's been deaf for 20 years.
