117654 Caldari Provisions	Posted - 2008.12.14 22:08:00 - [1] Ok so i was watching top gear tonight and i thought, hey in ambulation what if we could have something like a showroom for all of our ships that we have in the station. Maybe this could be like a display of your ships that you would be able to travel around. anyone think this could be a good idea, and would it work?

The reason car shows work is that some people have shiner Corvettes than others and have old cars that would have broken down ages ago had they not been maintained as they have been and thus are rare. Every single raven in Eve, regardless of age and how many times it has been shot, looks exactly the same. True, most ships look the same, but I doubt every player has an Opux Luxury Yacht, or a Megathron Federate Issue, etc. I bet Entities collection station could become very popular :D I definately like the idea. And regarding costum designs etc: With t3 that will make even more sense, since there'll be sooo many different ways to put ships together, you'll have enough variation there. Anyhow, this "showcase" should be treated as one of the plannes shops and bars. Limited amount of rooms available, has to be rented, etc. Oh, and just because there's no individualization/costumization ability for your ships ingame yet doesn't mean there'll never be one :) I'm pro this My videos: Watch on youtube.

I want to rent out one of those station bars and charge people to see the Yacht/Tempest Tribal Issue/Guardian Vexor. That will be pure sex. The reason why nobody gets to see it now is because well, even though it's quite suicide proof, you still don't even want to take the chance. I once charged someone 200 million ISK to see the yacht. I was 30 jumps away, got an evemail asking to see the yacht, as a gag I said ya sure, gimme 200 mil. I figured he'd be like "f u" (which is what I wanted anyway, was too lazy to fly back and show someone the yacht) Sure enough, he sent me 200 mil, so I was like oh damn now I have to fly over there and make sure it's not a trap. Size Comparison I would make sure never to go to a ship showroom if i knew I'd be walking for 30 minutes to get to one side considering the showroom would be the size of a city or more..

Hmm.. indeed -- might be too big for a true-sized show-case. But the prominade's are supposed to be VERY big. So, how about making enough room for a battleship-sized ship in the middle, hovering between the walkways, wich a player can rent to display one of his ships there. My videos: Watch on youtube.
Erdiere Minmatar Brutor tribe	Posted - 2009.01.03 12:02:00 - [12] Well, while (ignoring the space requirements that it would need) this would be kind of cool, chances of it happening are kinda slim, considering that CCP has already dropped implementing the hangar in ambulation (due to the work required), if t0rfiFrans's presentation on 2008 fanfest is anything to go by. However, something like this could be done as a player owned station establishment, it would sure beat the tattoo parlor...

OR, make it so that the promenade rotates or appears to and that way, all the ships that are in would be shown. Say for instance, there`s 33 Abaddons, well, one would be seen, 24 hulks docked, well, one would be seen. Why do people play Amarr? Because unlike the other races, Amarr characters are much more difficult to play.
