I haven't run missions before and want to start with the correct faction. I want to optimize my time in missions and get the most out of them. I fly minmitar ships and only minmitar. With the goal of running lvl 4's ( I think those are the best to run for profits time wise). What ship would be best and against what faction? As I see it the only ship that armor tanks that can do lvl 4 missions is the typhoon and my missile skills aren't top but if its worth it i can go that route. Any help and advice is greatly appreciated.

Sanshas definately. Best isk/lp value. ------------------------ To make a megathron from scratch, you must first invent the eve universe. ------------------------ Life sucks and then you get podded. |

So if I run for Sanshas then I will be fighting mainly Angels right? At what range will i need to fight in those missions? Are they close orbiters like the 0.0 versions?

You'll also be fighting CONCORD NPCs in missions for the Nation, as well as Empire Faction ships.

The Typhoon is a good ship, but it requires a lot of skillpoints to get the most out of it. A lower skilled player will be much better off in a Maelstrom. Or for that matter, in a Vargur - it is less skill intensive than a Typhoon.
It doesn't really matter which faction you run missions for - they all have strengths and weaknesses. ------------ Improvize. Adapt. Overcome. |

Edited by: Pwett on 16/12/2008 16:46:57 I wouldn't get in the vargur until you have t2 autos. I'd recommend an arty Tempest while your skills are low. It's fast and cheap enough with an afterburner where you can range tank most missions if you know what you're up against. Maelstrom is just too slow for my tastes to be moving around 0.0.
As far as training up for minmatar, you need to train armor tanking for the small ships and shield tanking for the big ones - just something to get used to. _______________ Pwett Founder <Q> QUANT Hegemony
