I'm looking for some ideas or suggestions on what to train towards now that I have almost all skills related to flying a hulk at either 4 or 5. Have a pretty good tank on my hulk and drone skills, not sure where to go next. Thanks for any constructive advice.

Hulk is pretty much "it" mining-wise.
Orca is fine, but only as mining support (one orca, many miners), not solo mining itself.
You could diversify into reprocessing, manufacture or research, I guess.

well, mining foreman up to 5 will get you an extra 10% yield for no work. You can work on your cybernetics to get the "highwall" implants. Depending on where you are mining (and how) you can work on your engineering skills to get 2x MLU2's installed.
I found that after getting all my ship skills done where I still had a couple of months to knock off all the crystals and all the extra support skills that might be needed (ice, gas refinery, etc).
Otherwise, sounds like you got it covered :)

What about a "Veldnaught" for zero sec mining?

...the only reason the "highsec Veldnaught" is even feasable is because you're basically 99.9999999% safe in it (assuming no wardecs are active, you would have to have an insane bounty on your head for anybody to even consider suicide-ganking you), and because it takes ages to fill the cargohold (so you can basically take a nap while it mines if the rocks are big enough). The yield is laughable anyway.
So a 0.0 capship mining is just... lulz.

Yeah, I know, but it give shim a direction and gives him the ability to use it for combat, eventually. (When he gets into that.)
And it will take him a while and gives him a direction to head in....

Could you imagine if they actually made a dreadnought sized ORE ship? With extra large strip miners and a miner seige core? not sure if it would be overpowered or just a amazing ship to kill when you found.

After I maxed my Hulk skills, I joined FW and went back to frigates.
Now I wonder why I spent so much time training skills I don't use anymore.
For the above poster, if I see a setup like that in highsec, I'll organize a suicide op myself :P

there's all the t2 crystal skills, the orca the rorq and the the freighters if you want to move your minerals around. Also maxing out drone skills shield skills and fitting skills.

This.. I have maxed out my hulk skills with this char. I've been in a hulk maybe 10min the last 6months :(
oh and you will never ever see a wyvern in highsec so no need for that suicide op :)

I know how you feel. Once you hit the hulk you are at the top. Then as said above train the crystals, get mining foreman up to V, maybe the implants, then just relax and mine your life away.
