alright, i know there are probably alot of other topics on this, but don't have time to look. if a guy takes stuff from my can can i blow him up in concord patrolled space wihtout them getting me?

He is making fun of you. And NO, you cant kill the ore thief (yet). When they make the contrabande rules available in the game, the days of the ore thiefs might come to an end. Fire on them now lead to concorde intervention. However, if you got another account, or alt etc wich you dont care much about, train him to use a missile boat, like a caracel. Then blow up the ore thief, concorde will blow you up as well, but at least you get a little satisfaction

Why are you carebears so against ore thieves??????? It is part of the game and CCP has made thier stand well known. JETTISON CANS WERE NEVER MEANT FOR MINING THIS IS AN EXPLOIT. Also if you come upon NPC's mining (Yes they mine I have found them in .4) You kill them and take thier already processed ore that is in the Jet can is that bad???

CONCORD will have you criminally flagged if you take items that are from a destroyed ship, not from a jettisoned container. And I am pretty sure that CCP will make it so the game flags what items were on the destroyed ship and not bother with anything added. There is going to be no criminal flagging of ore "thieves" ever! But, by the slim chance that there will be, you realize that will only allow pirates to attack people MORE in empire space?!? In the end, the ore "thieves" will be better off while the carebears make it worse for themselves.

Please mods can we have this thread stickied, so i never ever have to read the same people going through the same tedious arguments ever again.
The threads go like this:
Post 1. BAH, someone has just stolen my ore, he is a right swine.
Post 2. Carebear miners are a bunch of moaning fools, ore theft is l33t.
Post 3. Ore thieves are the lowest of the low.
Post 4. Stop moaning, jet can mining is an exploit and you all know it.
and so it goes on.
Well until CCP ban someone or censure someone for jet can mining anybody that imagines it is an exploit need their bumps felt.
Ore thieves are the unskilled pick pockets of the game, it takes no more skill or brain power than making sure they are in safe space before they do it. They are the ultimate carebear made all the more foolish by imagining they are doing something slightly dangerous or clever.

3. If you're jettison mining, try to be in .7> and able to use giant secure cans.
4. If you're in 1.0-.8, pray that they don't see your can...
