Without being patronising in the least, I shall walk you through this thorny issue.
- Some of us started playing at the cost of ú8 per 30 days due to the weakness of the $ compared to the ú
- We thought this was good value, as even after it expired your character would gain SP via Ghost training
- The cost if you sub now is ú12 at the current exchange rate to Euro's
- You don't get any SP after it runs out
So we don't play anymore as we feel it no longer offers good value for money.
In my case (and I'm sure you don't care), this is because ú12 a month would be about ú1 per hour of game time, and I cannot justify it.
Today however, I am feeling generous, so here are some example retorts for you to use :-

Totally surprised they sent me the offer after the uhm... illuminating criticism I delivered them on the former players survey.
I must admit though I have missed trolling on these forums... I've often debated reactivating just to call Kayosoni names... CAOD is nearly worth the price of a sub in and of itself.

I was wanting a third account for a second miner while my other alt hauled, and bam in comes the mail for an account I'd totally forgotton about that had a good deal more iskies and assets than I'd thought, and since the semester had just ended I've jumped on it.

I got it and now I need to decide if I want to salvage this 2mil SP pilot from my 05 newbie days as a 4th alt or just strip his account bare for money and leave him to rot... He does have a certain appeal, would be a shame to let him rot...

Did anyone else notice on the special link you had to use for the free 5 days that it also said you could resub for $9.95 U.S. a month after you reactivated for the free 5 days? Well, I noticed! But then I subsequently noticed that there is no such offer in my now-reactivated-for-the-free-5-days account. 
The closest thing I can see is that if I pay for a one-year sub in one lump sum, it works out to be $10.95 a month. Okay, so this character isn't my trader alt, but jeez. I can still do the math here, CCP!
Where's my cheapo $9.95 plan offering? I'm not feeling the Christmas gift of love here!

Read harder. It's 9.95 for the rest of your first month back, automatically recurring to the normal subscription price when that ends.

W R O N G, CCP raised the real price of 60 days GTC and delete 30 & 90 days, so the ISK price was raised too by CCP, in an indirect manner.

CCP used the best way to motivate players to return to the game after a break by deleting that... Oh, wait.
Try to remotivate by offering a ridiculous 5 free days compensation make me laught. This don't repair the suppression of some features and the damage caused by nerfs.

I got this offer on my other account which I haven't used for ages. I only really have time for one character, but still, that doesn't stop me being tempted. I'm pretty sure I left a lot of money on my other account's character; might be worth getting the moolah back.

That's the thing though-- I don't actually see confirmation of the $9.95 for the month back anywhere in this account's info now that I'm back, just $14.95 etc.

Okay, GM in-game response time was excellent and I just got an answer: You won't see the offer in your normal account info right up front after you reactivate. You'll receive an email offer for the $9.95 for the month after 4 of the 5 free days are up, in case anyone else is wondering.
