Can someone tell me what the heck I'm doing wrong? Or if this is normal? All my gunnery and supporting skills are up to 3s and 4s, but my 425mm railguns loaded with iridium at optimal range usually do in the 50s and 60s for damage against ravens and moas (for example). I get the very occasional peaks at 100+, but those are rare, and honestly I was expecting something more impressive.
Am I doing something wrong? Missing something key?

heh, well I really would prefer not to go lasers. :)
I might be confused on the range stuff, but my guns loaded with antimatter say optimal range at 27,600 with a 27,600 falloff in accuracy...
Doesnt that mean that my damage is going to be rather massively reduced at 60,000 KM and that under 27,600 I won't be able to hit anything?
NOTE: I know these are probably really dumb questions... I am basically a miner/scientist turned combat, so I'm actually somewhat new to killing stuff. :)

For those that are hitting hard, I'm curious what your skills are like... going up against a raven with shield hardners, im having one heck of a time getting the bastard to die. :)
