Hi all,
An update on the signups - we allocated 100 slots on the form for alliances to sign up, and we have already hit that number. (there are only 64 places, but we wanted to allow for extra applications, as there are often alliances who do not sign up correctly).
Suffice to say, it appears this is VERY popular and we are quite astounded at how keen people are to get involved! We actually had 32 signups within the first ten minutes!
For those who have applied and sent your money, we are going through the list of signups and the wallet transactions now. We will send out confirmations over the next day.
If you are in an alliance that has automatic entry, and you are unable to sign up using the form, please send an eve-mail to "CCP Mindstar" indicating you wish to participate.

Actually we got screwed by a what i would say is a bugg alliance mechanic where a corp that leaves an alliance can remain executor and not even petitions could get it changed due to the way new corps joining an alliance keep voting for the executor that was in place when they joined even after the executor has left the alliance and cannot change their vote untill they have been within the alliance for 7 days (this ended 24h after sign ups opened). |

Actually we got screwed by a what i would say is a bugg alliance mechanic where a corp that leaves an alliance can remain executor and not even petitions could get it changed due to the way new corps joining an alliance keep voting for the executor that was in place when they joined even after the executor has left the alliance and cannot change their vote untill they have been within the alliance for 7 days (this ended 24h after sign ups opened).

I have sent two times the money (due to mistake on the "reason") and applicaton was sent from my char, i have not yet received anything, is it normal?

Any chance we can see increased ammount of slots on this tourney due to popularity?
Loosing a chance to participate in half-year-frequent tourney due to unfortunate timing is really depressing.

As one of the 100 alliances that put there app's in correctly I would have to agree with united legions guys idea.
Open it up to 100 teams and just have more non broadcasted fights to thin down the numbers.
Other than that Im gona have to wait until january for either the nod or the shake of the head in regards to our place.

That's part of the problem...even those of us who put in our apps literally minutes after the page came up have to wait until January to see if we made it.

Us in the Militia's don't even know who our Captains will be until January, so count yourself lucky. There is already internal drama from the PvP corps in the militia's trying to put people in their place. So at least you can train knowing who is in charge!

Not much drama in the Caldari militia yet.. I've been offered captain-ship but had to refuse since we already have a signup (first 5 minutes) and I personally can't attend for other than the fourth and sixth day due to RL commitments =(

to make it work best would have to be 124 teams and i doubt they would have problems getting that many but probs wont anyway because it will be considered to much time/effort

Im only asking as prepairing for this event takes time and effort by all envolved.
Also while im at it is there a guide for team captains o read that gives a full break down on how the gm's contact you before your matches and things like that.

Can't help you with the knowing if you are in or not, but I can help with the other part. Based on the previous 3 tournaments, the GM's set up a tournament captains channel. They will sent the team captain an acceptance evemail, and it that evemail, they tell you the team captain channel they expect you to join. They will further tell you (either by evemail or by forum post when the schedule is set -- don't remember which, maybe both) to make sure the team captain is in the captain's channel a certain amount of time (it has varied slightly from tournament to tournament) before you are slated to fight. Come your scheduled fight day, you will be contacted via the captains channel (at the appropriate time) to find out if your team is ready (which means you have your team in a fleet, in their ships, etc.). In most recent tournaments, they were giving 30 min warnings before your team needed to be ready. Shortly after you are asked if your team is ready, you will be asked to invite a specific GM into your fleet. That GM will join your fleet and give you additional instructions on the process and procedure of getting your team moved to the arena. The GM will give further instructions on the procedures of getting to the appropriate beacons, and all other instructions needed prior to the match. If you have ANY questions at all concerning how things work (concerning tournament mechanics) or clarifications, that is your chance to ask. They will tell you that once you warp in to your chosen range, DO NOT LOCK ANYONE, DO NOT MOVE. They tell you other stuff, but those are the most important.
