It starts out ok, but after a while the mem usage builds, and it gives my hangs every now and then for a few seconds. Something I can do about this?

Something I can do about this? sigh EVE's memory management isnt exactly excellent. Memory leaks here and there crop up from time to time, only to dissapear in one patch, to reappear in another, etc. Best advice: set the cache memory to low-medium, depending on how much ram you are willing to give to EVE. Medium should be 512mb worth IIRC... -

CCP Atlas	Posted - 2008.12.20 21:06:00 - [10] Running at 1GB does seem high but it might not necessarily be a bad thing since it's caching resources and state. If you are worried about memory consumption and your computer is low on memory I would recommend just turning off resource cache completely as well as turning off shadows (or keep them at low) and turn off trails. Also, if you think you've found a memory leak (whereas the memory does not stabilize) a bug report would be most appreciated.

Not a bad idea. To I have no problems with any other games or any other applications. (And special progs I should use to mem test?)

Just because YOURS is working fine doesn't mean everybody elses is. Quit trolling. I agree. My system is actually quite good (for a laptop), and reatively new. Tho I still get the hangs in EVE alone. I am gonna run that mem test larer when I get a chanse for it.
