Edited by: Horatio Starkiller on 19/07/2004 13:24:51 Well, further to my post originally, which I was slighty unsure of hence I removed until I got confirmation... One of my brothers has checked the background of one called "Ben Freegate" which is the person I originally believed to be a member of the Amarr Auxilia but was unsure, and confirmation is true...
This name may ring bells to some people especially when they read reports such as this ... Deception at Obe recognize a name there? Not only that but their is a fair price on his head... Bounty
Now the freedom fighters of the minmatar republic, often accused of acts of terrorism recognise the Amarr Auxilia corporation as a firm supportor of PIE's ideals. PIE's most recent report outlined the destruction of mining ships that apparently were being protected by a pirate. Yet a member of one of their closest allies, we certainly see them flying joint fleets together all the time. Has been part of an act of piracy himself alongside the notorious pirates Viceroy and BubBlEs.
This is what I believe... in a zealous fit of rage at a pirate escaping their clutches PIE turned their guns on the closest target... the innocent miners, not willing to lose face PIE threaten further hostile action unless the mining corp confess to support a pirate, a confession under threat I should mention.
These so called defenders of an empire whose mandate includes destroying pirates seem willing to turn an acts of piracy and allying with pirates when it suits while trying to convince everyone else that it was a good thing they did. -----------

Without getting into the specifics of this case, two things spring to mind here.
Firstly, although Amarria Auxilia are supporters of PIE, we do not have any input in their recruitment policies.
Secondly, even the most vicious of terrorists and pirates are not beyond redemption. It is the wish of true Amarrians everywhere that criminals can be rehabilitated and returned into society as loyal subjects of the Emperor.

I personally find this rather insulting. I lost track of the amount of time I spent tackling prates in Sarum Prime back in the days when it was a .4 system.
PIE has a long history of thwarting pirates. Indeed, just a few weeks ago we engaged a pirate corporation in PRM space. Pirates which the Minnies were either unable or unwilling to deal with themselves.
I also notice that one prominent Minmatar "freedom fighter" recently defected to a pirate corporation before returning to his roots. Perhaps you would care to explain this?
And if you really thought redemption was that simple, why don't you surrender to us so we can tell you what you pennance is?

No Rodj, waste no more time on this.
It is an insult I shall not soon forget, as we have given our all in the fight against piracy everywhere!
Leave this thread be my brethren, to respond in kind to this thrash would simply be unworthy and is clearly beneath us.

How thin skinned these Amarrians turn out be! A race that deems it acceptable to enslave other sentient beings, manages to sit by and watch entire families work, suffer and die by their whim. Yet someohow they manage to be offended by these allegations (sorry I mean facts).
Pirates, steal property, Amarrian slavers steal peoples entire lives, families, hopes everything. Pirates sometimes kill their quarries, Amarrian slavers work, even torture Slaves for their entire lives.
Makes their high and mighty "weve been fighting Pirates for ages" attitude look rather pathetic.
We`ve all fought pirates for a long time, its just that our actions arnt over shadowed by hundreds of years of atrocities.
the sooner the galaxy is rid of your fatuous, hypocritical ilk the better.

Even terrorists are redeemable. All you need to do is, submit to the will of the Emperor, accept your punishment like a man, and make an effort to start along the road to enlightenment.

Edited by: Horatio Starkiller on 19/07/2004 14:30:38 I doubt he needs redemption from 'your' emperor for it is obvious by his sec status that he has already re-deemed himself in the eyes of the security forces of the empires... are you gonna say they were wrong?
Anyway, back to the topic... Ben Freegate = Pirate = Member of AA = Ally of PIE. Even my simply mind can understand that. -----------

As per my original post, I'm not qualified to discuss this specific case, as I do not know all of the ins and outs of his history.
However, we do have extensive re-education facilities, as you will find out if you ever surrender to us.
