Well, Miso...
Look at it the right way.
Today, if CA KNOWS (by local and map) that we have 5 pilots, they usually send a blob of 20 pilots after us.
With this removed, they won't know if we have 5 pilots for sure, or if we maybe have 20 pilots. They are gonna send an even bigger blob of 40 pilots after our 5 pilots.
Is it really hard to see that if people choose to BLOB even when they know exactly how many the opponent have, no ******* way are they gonna make a smaller blob when they don't know exactly how many the other side have.
Removal of pilots in space and map = GOOD FOR THE PLAYERS BLOBBING AND BAD FOR EVERYONE ELSE.

Originally by: Stavros Agree with viceroy, system scanning (and i mean FULL systme scanning, not craptacular 14.3au range scanning that everyone and his dog can avoid) is a necessity for this to work, althogh if its done carefully and right it will add alot to the game.
Another problem with this Stav is all ships parked in space. If you pick a random system in Curse and go scan it, you'll find an ammount of like 15-20 cruisers/frigates parked in space.
The scanner needs to be able to tell if the ships are abandoned or active.
Otherwise this will be exploited, people will park huge amounts of frigates at safespots.

Originally by: KIAEddZ It favours the killers and hunters, and scares the prey. I know which bit I am more worried about.
Yes. And I'm a hunter, but I vote nay.
Is it the hunters or the prey that is blobbing?
It is the prey. The prey is already scared for the hunter. That's why we have blobs. Making the prey more scared = making the prey blob more.
And hence it's bad for both, as the prey will be more scared and the hunter can't hunt due to the now even bigger blobs.

Originally by: Iluyen Accusing MASS players of being against this because they'll loose their ganks is pretty silly and only shows you are clueless about pvp.
This changes will destroy good pvp and give the advantage to fleets ganking people. I guess CCP wants people only to move through 0.0 space in groups of at least 10+ . It takes long enough for big fleet battles to start as it is now, no need to add another hour or 2 for fleets to find each other and scout each other out.
And then i haven't even started on how good this is for logoff traps.

Have you sold your account Iluyen?
I mean, this can't be. We agree on something. /me ends himself.
