Kibbeard was invited to my corp to be a researcher. i had up a crappy pos that he was going to be able to use, i only gave him access to that pos but somehow he manged to take it down and find my other pos and take that down and with all of my labs and hangar and ran sac my corp hangar. so be on the look out For Kibbeard and mineytheminingalt.

sorry that just had to be said, but people you barely talked to ingame shouldnt get acces to your pos one way or the other, end

Aren't there specific roles and such that can be granted to someone that actually limits their ability to unanchor POS components or use POSs other than those the directors want them to use?

Yep, you can give seperate roles to Allow access to things such as labs and hangars, but NOT un-anchor.
A.K.A. We haz a nub who didn't deserve a POS, not knowing how to set it up properly.
I'd even venture a bet that the thief was the one who told OP how to set up his corp roles.

I then ganked his vengeance using a T1 fit caracal. He insisted i "fight fair" because I was warp scrambling him.
I sat AFK in a safe for 5 hours. It took them 4 hours to find and kill me so i could be kicked from corp. Nice one.
He gave me full roles to all hangars. The only thing Ive sold off so far were minerals I found in a CHA. Over 1b isk from that alone. Still haev a true sansha pos, some BPs, pos equipment, a caldari pos and some other random ****.

Also; I was in the corp for 6 days when he granted me roles to everything. I hadn't even asked him. He just went "Hey you gonna use this pos? Here have roles to everything we have. I'm just going to log out now and leave you alone for the next several hours because of your time zone. Well, enjoy"

Thats crazy, and can't really blame you. It's not like you both were friends, you had no reason to be loyal to him and yet he gives you all the access to wipe him out. As bad as it is. the corp deserved to be cleaned out for not taking any precautions whatsoever.
