I advise just canceling your account. I played since closed beta phase 3 and did what you're about to do because they didn't fire t20. Well, guess what? I'm back and this is my main now. I would swim to Iceland wearing chainmail and give away free handjobs in the alley behind CCP if I thought it would get my character back. No matter how pissed you are, it's not like there are a lot of options for sandbox MMOs and you might be back some day. |

Being deleted along with my characters. yeah 100 bil doesn't make me the richest guy in EVE. But it's given me alot of options. It's all being biomassed. Apparently your options have included being terrible at wormholes, everyone knows not to warp at 10km. For one thing, if you BM'd from scanning it then its position isn't guaranteed, even with scanning skills to 5 there's some deviation. Also, whs decloaking radius >= 2000m. Another well known fact. Although getting decloaked at 18k id hazard a guess you landed on a drone/corpse. So come on, cough up the loss mail.
Wrong wrong,
It hasn't gotten anything to do with scanning skills or randomly warping anywhere. Let's get this straight on how the game actually works ;)
You have two different things: The deadspace signature(the one you scan) and The wormhole beacon itself(the one you jump through) seen here http://i40.tinypic.com/sxeo8o.png
The deadspace signature you don't BM because it's +-8 from the WH- you BM the WH beacon itself. After DT the WH beacon sometimes moves slightly.. - also note you don't land always straight on top of the WH sig so you don't always decloak when warping to the wh sig at 0 for the first time
It can be seen as a bug but sadly it's how the game works at the moment. Having gotten this straight and helping you understand the game I have more than enough right to have some of your assets

No, not really, I do not intend on leaving this game nor have I had the urge to do so for the last 7 and a half years. I highly doubt hes actually going to do it and I eagerly await to be able to get home and see if his character is still in game. |

In fact part of the :18 months: was due to CCP putting a lot of resources in to the Carbon project - ie: refactoring a lot of old code.
EVE is significantly less buggy than it was when I started playing in 2006.
But yes, you are right: real time code of that maginitude & complexity will always yield a certain amount of "unanticipated behaviour". Not to mention people who can't tell the difference between client side or connection issues vs server problems. Indeed. Eve is a lot better now and I havent experienced a bug for god knows how long. And I can relate to back in 2005 when I started playing. The difference is huge and the quality in this game is not easy to match with other mmo's |

To confirm some things for the noobs who think they know all
1) anything that isn't cloaked when you move within 2,000m decloaks you - Duh.. 2) there is a cosmic signature that is what you scan down when using probes. it's usually around 7,000m (or so) away from the WH. It decloaks ships 3) I landed around 3800m with one ship (possibly decloaked by the cosmic sig sure. could have happend.) the OTHER ship landed 18 KM away. EIGHTEEN KILOMETERS. it was cloaked in warped. it landed and decloaked. Nothing near ir. no other ships 4) cloaked ships DO NOT decloak CLOAKED ships. its in the patch notes. 5) If the first ship arrives at 18km, and the second ship passed through it, they would BOTH still be cloaked and wouldn't decloak one another 6) I warped them from 2 different locations (but at the same planet just 2 different moons) to THE SAME BOOKMARK in corp BM's 7) I make my bookmarked not by the position of my ships but by the position of the wormhole as ANY person in WH space should do. (right click on the WH in overview, click SAVE AS, make BM. simple.
Sure, as I said the cosmic sig could have decloaked the first ship. It's possible for sure. That's not my issue. My issue is the second ship randomly decloaking for no reason at all. Funny enough this happens IMMEDIATELY after I download a new "patch
Before the decloaking even happened when I first BOARDED THE SHIPS from my SMA, ALL (and I do mean ALL) of the modules were offline and my client was spammed by windows each one saying the same thing (there isn't enough CPU to online the module) and I got around 16 of those messages all at once
I haven't lost any ships, you can check my personal killboards on EVESCO if you wish. I was attempting to catch a ship by baiting. baiting failed naturally I only got one kill on a simple hauler very disappointing to say the least when there was a pilgrim out and about to kill
my issue is this game is broken, and instead of FIXING it like was promised, we're getting a bunch of changes EVE doesn't need. Like drones getting bounties, the removal of T1 mods from NPC's so players have to build them. New high sec griefing ships (T3 battlescruisers) NEW POSES for female avatars. WHO CARES. Sure shiny new toys are fun, But what fun are they if the general mechanics of the game are flawed
then there's the stealth nerfs, like changing wormholes so now they are easier to control to prevent people from going into them (if WH is critical you can no longer jump multiple ships at once and all get through. Instead you jump you get put on a list if there's enough mass to go through, you jump if not then you get spit back out into the system you came from. Therefore making it IMPOSSIBLE to assault a wormhole with a small fleet if the WH is critical
Then there's the stealth nerf to things like When you would hold down CTRL and click on a target in the overview you would start moving towards that target and targetting would engage. If it was a cloaking ship you at least got a general direction where he was going. Now you have to spam hot keys, create macros so once he appears you have to hit your macro so you "approach, then set full speed, and engage MWD (if you haven't already engaged it before moving
these are changes EVE didn't need.
Not to mention the exploit I peitioned almost 2 years ago hasn't been fixed. I recreated it for them, had the petition answered, told they are aware of it, it hasn't been fixed to this day I can still do it. They removed the log out, warp to 1,000,000km log in log out warp another 1,000,000 km log in, then you're 1,000,000 from original position and safe from harm. They removed that. But I can make it so you can still do it. I've encountered OTHER PEOPLE doing it to escape.
No I'm not talking about the logging off after jumping through a WH and while your still under invuln cloak closing the client, that is a legitimate log off tactic in WH space
I'm talking about logging off, warping to 1 mil KM, logging on and and doing something that prevents your ship from entering warp.
This is why I'm deleting my chars. I've had enough. I've been around almost 7 full years putting up with the BOB BPO screw up that CCP handled so very badly, all the way to the latest micro transaction scare. CCP promised us transparency, and yet there are multiple patches we download WITH NO PATCH NOTES. stealth nerfs out of the blue. That's not transparency
They are running a business, and that is to make money. fixing the game doesn't make them money, adding new toys so people restart subscriptions TO TRY OUT THOSE NEW TOYS makes them money
that's why bugs are being ignored, THATsS WHY GM'S TAKE FOREVER TO ANSWER PETITIONS. Because THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT THE STATE OF THE GAME. They only care about how many subs will be reactivated with the next "expansion
And that's why I'm leaving. Because unlike MOST OF YOU. I have the BALLS to DELETE everything, Walk away and never look back. I stand up for what I believe in, and I believe we've been lied to and screwed over by CCP's management. So screw them. Sure my 4 accounts being cancelled doesn't hurt them that bad. Whatever.
I'm doing this because in MY EYES it's time to move on

Hence astrometric pinpointing's 10% reduction in scan deviation. Or is that just deviation of the projected locations when you haven't got the signature down to 100% yet?
Ahh, this is why I love Eve, I've been playing for years and apparently still don't understand even some of the basic mechanics fully

Christ, I can decloak T3s in my nano jag in null sec and I have to burn ~15km, if you have to go to the extent of creating macros just to manage in a WH you must have very slow reactions.
