Apparently yes, for a while now. Wouldnt be surprised if someone was planning to update it before Xmas, but couldnt and kept the Item DB down.
Poke CCP with a petition if you feel it warrants one. -

The old item database URL http://www.eve-online.com/itemdatabase/ should redirect you here http://wiki.eveonline.com/wiki/ to the brand new EVElopedia.

The item database is on the left side.
http://wiki.eveonline.com/wiki/Item_Database
Which now includes the faction mods and such. ------------------------ To make a megathron from scratch, you must first invent the eve universe. ------------------------ Life sucks and then you get podded. |

Would be nice if the faction mods showed up in the correct group, instead of Miscellaneous

Until the new wiki item db lists the NPC corps that trade in the item, we need to keep the old item database. Or is that info meant to be secret now? ----- I'm a collector! Want to trade? See my Collection List and contact me. |

Looks like it's meant to be secret, since it was removed from the DB dump as well.

For example having faction/ds/cosmos/occifer armor reppers be a subsesction of armor repairers instead of requiring you to travel down the tree to misc. and up another branch.
But I understand that you're just displaying the item db as is.
I'll second on showing the NPC corps that trade the item info, losing information to the wiki move really ain't acceptable. ... and I really think they should boost T2 plate HP.

For example ALL OF SHIP MODS.
If you want to see afterburners for example...
Item Database > Ship Equipment > Propulsion > Afterburners
But to see the faction-deadspace ones...
Item Database > Ship Equipment > Miscellaneous > Afterburner
If you want to see microwarpdrives...
Item Database > Ship Equipment > Propulsion > Microwarpdrives
but if you want to see the faction-deadspace ones...
Item Database > Ship Equipment > Miscellaneous > Afterburner ------------------------ To make a megathron from scratch, you must first invent the eve universe. ------------------------ Life sucks and then you get podded. |

Yeah that is a real pain in the ass, especially when looking for race specific blueprints like capital components. New wiki should be an addition to, not instead of the old item database.

Incidentally, this page is a usability nightmare
Where does it say item database ? I can't find it, and I've spent a good ten minutes looking at the page
Edit: OK I JUST found it, lol But my argument stands; part of usability is designing for users who can't read

The reason is that EVElopedia uses the Market Group Classification and items that are not traded on the market are put into a miscellaneous group on the wiki. It may be possible to fix this in an automatic way, I'll pass on the feedback.

Like two other posters have said, please, please replace the NPC sell orders section. How are we supposed to find Blueprints and components, without it?

Regarding "crpNPCCorporationTrades": Here's the dev blog from when we released the Static Data Export Database (the Empyrean Age version) in July as well as previous forum reply #1, reply #2 and reply #3.

That was a dubious thing to do anyway. Only serves to hurt newbs.
I've been to minmatar space before but i was there for 2 seconds just to pick up a contract i bought. I dont know what blueprints are seeded; nor where.
If I wanted to find out where say a Tempest BPO is seeded; while ironically This page doesnt have minnie. there's going to be some website who cares about garbage ship bpos
PS newbs arent going to know the websites or channels to goto. they will try local and they will be told to goto oldmanstar/rancer. ------------------------ To make a megathron from scratch, you must first invent the eve universe. ------------------------ Life sucks and then you get podded. |

Are there any plans to reintroduce the basic Buying/Selling information that was in the Item Database? Forcing people to physically check all NPC space just to find the best place to buy a T1 BPO or sell some trade goods seems a little excessive.
Also any explanation as to why this was originally removed from the EA Data Export? The dev responses I've read have been kind of cryptic. |
