I need a bit of advice on Gallente frigate fit-outs for these types of plexes. Some weem a bit overwhelming for a frigate, especially the Drone ones.
Any helpful ideas appreciated..............

afterburner and rails. Drones attack range is under 20km so if you can hit at that distance or longer you can easily move away and shoot. Also drones top speed is 550ish m/s so normal frig with AB should be faster.

I have been using an Incursus with rails for serpentis and drone plexes in highsec with great success.

Didn't bother with that drone or rigs. If you want to pimp it more, use a gistii shield booster and some resistance rigs or something but you won't need it.

Which tbh is pretty overkill. You dont really need the gist stuff, I only have that fitted cus its the loot the plex drops in my home system. You may have to ditch the pdu for an rcu/mapc if you're fitting skills aren't top notch. If you cant use a ceptor, you can get a similar fit on an incursus, but I think you have to use ions else it doesn't fit.

Wouldn't a Merlin be a better option for using railguns, because of the hybrid range bonus, and also the shield resistance bonus?

when i run them(i do that a few times a month) i like to use a ishkur. fly in, take aggro, release drones, turn page in book

pretty sure you could do them in a ibis without to much truble... rails + ab...
personaly I use any frig speed fitted and dont care about shooting anything just run tru them..

Pirate faction/assault frigates can do those while half-asleep.
Worm or Hawk can lob light missiles at rats from well beyond their range and keep this range, dps is kinda meh though. Take Ishkur or Harpy if you want it done quick.

Sure, an Assault Frigate and 5 T2 drones would be a cakewalk. *BUT*, that's a wee bit off for me atm, so what you are saying is there is no T1 Gallente ship and fittings that can do these?

I've used a Tristan for the Old Meanie complex (1/10) in Pimsu and it plows through everything. I don't remember the fitting but it was nothing special because my combat skills are horrible. I never get into armor doing this complex.
I took the same ship to a 2/10 complex in Domain. I'm sorry but I don't recall the name. It was a drone complex and with the exception of the last room it was pretty easy. I know I got into armor in the last room but it wasn't too bad.
I don't remember the exact layout but it was something like this:

* I don't recall what else I had in the other two; should be missiles but I might have had a tractor/salvager in these two slots; I don't recall ever using missiles on this toon

I would suggest downloading and using EFT, and play around with various fittings. I can tell you that a good ship is a Minmatar Rifter. For Gallenteans, if you are lazy or have Drone Interfacing, an Imicus or Malus would be good. I don't know offhand what would be good for a gunboat.

I don't know the gallente frigates so I can't suggest anything there. I can say that I've breezed through them in both a Merlin and a Kestrel, so I expect you'll be able to handle them easily with whatever tough combat frigates the gallente have.

Hmmmmmm
What you will soon learn is that these kind of threads are a golden opportunity for peeps to show of their e-peen and their faction fitted tech 2 frigate setup.
As such it is very rare to actually get setup suggestion that is usable to "average Joe".

is it me or do the 1/10 serpentis plexes no longer drop deadspace (coreli c-type) loot?
I did about 5 of these in a row today, and none dropped anything but overseer effects

It's random. The other night I did 3 Sansha 1/10s just to see because the topic came up. One dropped nothing but overseers effects. One dropped a single Corpii C-type armor membrane. The third dropped 3 Corpii C-type items and a meta-4 Auxiliary Power Core from the security overseer (I know that last is random luck).

Firstly, nowhere in your original post or thread title did you specify it had to be T1...
Secondly, is it really that hard to take the Incursus (Being a T1 frig) setup someone posted and replacing the T2 mods with the named/T1 version?
Thirdly, is it that hard to take the taranis setup I posted, and do a similar thing with an incursus if you can't fly one yet (which I did actually say in my post)

That should all fit providing you have put at least a bit of effort into fitting skills, and it's all tech 1. You should be able to speed tank virtually all damage as the AB runs forever. If you mess up and get stuck on roids/structure or just plain forget to keep moving, then use the shield booster which will keep you alive until you get unstuck or remember that sitting still in a frigate makes for a sad panda.
EFT is your friend. Get it. Use it. It'll let you try setups for any ship, using any modules, with any implants and any skills you want just to see if it fits/how it looks before investing any isk/training into anything.
EveMon is also your friend. Get it. Use it. It'll let you create your own skill plan, or you can even just select a ship/module you want to use, and it'll create a skill plan for you so you can use it. On top of all that it'll make suggestions on ways to make training even faster by training learning skills etc...
