Ok, how many people should it take to support a capital ship? 1? 5? 10? 50? 500? 4000? Which groups are big enough to have earned the privledge in your eyes? Or is the rule that you should only be able to move a cap if you can either defend the cyno ship for 10 minutes or afford to lose a recon ship every time you jump?
"real" carriers are used for all sorts of things, like transportation, pos repping and fighter support, none of which should require a large group of people to support it.
also, let's not forget about dreads, which basically have no way of protecting a cyno ship, and jump freighters, which have even less means to defend the person helping them.
so, this is an impractical idea. just kill the cyno kestrel, hope the cyno gen drops, and go about your business.

Blackops cost almost same than carrier, maybe they should be only alliance assets too. It tell you 1 bil here and there isn't massive investment. Especially if all you do is run L4's. It's just that moving capital ships is already pain in the censored place. Even if you were in a relatively big corp it's difficult to get someone to fly 20 jumps for just making suicide cyno for you. So practically you'll use cyno alt, which isn't really free, counting all fuel and cyno generator it costs quite a bit to move.
Oh. And also. If you're in large alliance you'll have cyno brighe network so you don't need cynos at all. You can jump ANY ship around as much as you want with no risk of dying at all.

lol there are no jump ships tha do anything risk free if your smart you can reduce the risk quite a bit but never elimate the risk,
only way to fly in eve with no worrys is have a 100 man titan and mother ship fleet pop in same time.
you never know if those pilots who come for your cyno alt has the man power to take you down or not till after its a done deal.
cyno has enough of of a disadvantage like jump freighters lose a cyno ship it is trapped for a long time because they cant drop out replacement ships so alt has to refit and make all way back before freighter can continue.
jump freighters cant cloak making them require log off every jump.
all jump ships are stuck in place for 10 minutes not including the time required to wait for cyno ship to relocate to new jump system.
this stuff can make moving around stuff an all day task depending on a number of factors.
cyno alts take some fair skill to train halting your mains account from training there alot of stuff cap pilots have to suffer for a little more survivability.
worst yet carriers cant use stargates so they cant move as fleet and crash those camps. i just think you cuys want to to put to much limits on cap ships with them already being hard enough as is.
