This coming from someone who doesn't even use missiles.
Reasons why I think they deserve love:
- Lots of ECM these days, anything to counter them (rather them nerf them) is welcome, at least IMHO - There are no Faction FoFs - There are no Tech II FoFs, much less specialization skills - Light/Heavy/Cruise missiles skills do not affect FoF Light/Heavy/Cruise missiles - No short range Fofs (rocket, assault, torpedo) - Most missile boats (Raven for example) have been greatly nerfed

I'd be ecstatic if they actually just attacked foes, of any kind, and not random objects/structures/etc. Friend or Foe my ass. More like Foe and Innocent Structures.

For me FoFs are only used for if jammed, just live with them as they are. As for other missiles all I can say is oh my gawd CCP put them back. One question: were missiles good before?

I was found of missiles back in the day where you could throw volleys of cruise missiles from kestrels - each standard launcher could hit 1 cruise missile, so you'd have about 1440 damage every 21-24 seconds or so. Those were times where pvp was within everyone's reach eheh :P
From 2003 to 2008 not once I said missiles were overpowered even though I was mostly of the receiving end. But none the less, they have been nerfed about 5 times in a row. They're a shadow of what they once were. The only love they ever got was when they become 10 times cheaper (production cycle makes now 10 times more missiles with same materials then back in 2003/2004)

Nah, back then there were two frigates: kestrel and rifter. Remember, back then turrets would always hit as long as they were within range, and missiles were not very fast so frigates could outrun cruise missiles. Ask my buddy Shai 'Hulud. 2x Std Launcher [Cruise] 2x Scout 280mm Howizter [whatever] >:] they were quite scary then, the rifters, even though they only had 2 med 2 low 
There was only one or two cruisers for pvp too: BlackBird and Torpedo spewing Caracal. With the Scorpion being the equivalent of todays Falcon, Caldari were king of PvP back then Then the ner***e began...

You can not get any new ones anymore as they were removed from LP store. Reason gives was 'they were overpowered' by CCP. Note also that they nerfed FOF missiles in QR patch lowering their damage compared to T1 approx 20% while they used to be approx 5% under before patch with proper skills (as they benefited for both skills, fof one and relevant missile size skill).

Moving targets only. They aren't truly unguided or the chances of hitting stuff in space would be infinitesimal. They just use on-board guidance rather than using the launching ship's guidance systems.
Sure, unmoving ships will still go unscathed, but at least missiles won't be wasted on structures either. --
