Hi again,
Bringin you guys some more club bear pvp for christmas. Ive decided that if i only released stuff to the forums that met my standards, i would never release anything. This vid hopefully is fun for you guys. I decided to cut nearly all the small gang stuff out and try and keep it to solo since i tend to find it more interesting to watch.
Some of you might be upset to see a lot less amarr action in this vid. Ive been trying to use my original main, Turbo Dinosaur, a little more often to round out my experience, and im finding matar to be a lot of fun. There is still some amarr action and i promise im not done with amarr in the long run.
Anyway enough babble.
Ships flown- Apoc(close range), Tempest, Megathron, Brutix(lots), Cyclone.

Love to hear what you guys think so i know what type of stuff you want to see in the future. The responses on here have a lot to do with what i fly and how i look for engagements so dont be shy.
Finally thanks to my corp, without Club Bear i probably wouldnt be in eve and i certainly couldnt produce these vids.

im glad. i had a few other sequences that resulted in less kills that i was tempted to show. these types of situations are my favorite part of eve but they are so hard to convey in a video because of how much time they take up and how limited the options are for narration. i have considered actually doing commentary over a video but i think it would sort of kill the buzz =P

1. rarely. in this vid you can see once in the tempest fight i lose a hawk becuase i cant get close enough for a point, and again i lose the phobos in one of the fights with the cyclone. however on the whole i find this to be rare and especially rare if im flying something that needs close range to do damage, like the brutix.
2. yes. the cyclone you see in this vid has a scram and as you see it allows me to out-pace a vaga and a nanosac. i think its very viable but for anything with close range turrets its best to have the web also.

the huginn and cerb werent on the field at the same time. the problem with killing the huginn is that its not ever an option unless he makes a massive mistake. his dual webs keep him out of web/scram range all the time so even if i load barrage and dps him he will just leave(which is what happens at the end of the fight after phobos escapes). this might be an important move if i need him off the field so i can make jump range or warp range but in this fight i never did becuase my tank held so i just let him be and kept high damage ammo in to try and break the phobos tank.

sorry i always forget music credits.
ill go add them to the OP.
the huginn should be able to get away even if i have 24k point becuase i cant hold him inside 24k since he can web to 30. even if i get a point he can just mwd away from me and warp.
maybe ill try to do a vid with more difficult engagements and try to discuss strategy somehow, im glad some of you like that part.
for the apoc i dont remember how i fit but you should be able to find it on my kb wich you can google easily. and yeah solo pvp is possible it just takes some patience. anyone else think replacing eccm with an eccm sensor booster script is a good idea? =)

i think they are greatly improved from before. especially afs. but i see over and over people in these ships attacking me regardless of what im flying and in my opinion anything fit appropriately should handle several multiple afs. im happy they are viable though makes thins more dynamic.

tbh its just habbit. i made the switch with amarr because switching laser ammo so quickly is an absolute must, but i really should switch in everything. in the clone and brutix here i have 2 different weapon sizes and for some reason having 2 groups irritates me.

ok lot of stuff there but mainly i want to bring up what i said before- most pilots make mistakes. i completely agree with you that a large part of what i show couldnt happen if my opponents didnt make errors. However in my experience most people do make mistakes. And for me, being good at pvp(like being good at most kind of competition) is about putting your opponent in a position to make a mistake as often as possible. The entire idea is not to be the best at having skill point and getting into close range blaster fights between passive navy megas. The idea is to get in difficult spots for you and the bad guys, and then force them to make a lot of hard choices where eventually they will make a bad one and let you win. the vaga as an example - if i have a large neut and an overheated mwd he has 2 cycles to decide to leave the fight or not. I intentionally let my armor get low so i have cap for the mwd and so he doesnt want to leave, so that when the time comes he has maybe 10 seconds to decide to leave the fight and he doesnt really want to. any hesitation and i get a kill. Dake is a good pilot and i make mistakes like this all time.
some of the examples in my vid you are right the pilot makes really bad decisions which are more rare(like the arb in the fight with the mega) and to be honest i didnt even want to include that clip becuase i think its not as good but that kind of thing does happen all the time so its hard to find only examples of everyone doing a great job yet somehow me still winning in bs with no rigs and no implants.
The stuff that gets into the video is where i make the right decision and they make the wrong one because that is whats fun to watch.
and druz you are right. i have som fraps of a mega getting the brown pushed in by a similar gang =P

i think you are right. i was trying to accomplish two things here. one was illustrate my opinion about QR(i really like it), and two give a little bit more substance to the vid. I think one of the reasons armageddon was so popular was becuase it had a little more substance than my others.
however the fights were a little weak. and the point isnt that controversial so i think there would have been a better way to do it =P
anyway appreciate the opinion, glad some of the vid was worth the watch, and thanks everyone else, reception to this vid is totally surpassed my expectations

thanks dake for helping out here. i will confirm what dake said also about the fight seeming quick and easy in the vid when in reality i was pretty unsure whether i could get the hawk off me in time. was a good fight and thanks dake for the respect, wish i could switch militias and fly with you guys.

theres no contradiction. im just showing that both are viable despite fears that bs are obsolete. ill be the first to acknowledge and take advantage of the boost to smaller ships, i just dont buy the idea that the effect is so drastic or without solution.
i would never allow my hyperion to be solo'd by a brutix =P
the ultimate point is that piloting means at least as much as what the ships look like on paper, and you cant make too broad of generalizations about pvp in eve because of the extremely dynamic environment in which it takes place.

next is in production, give it a week or 2 ide say. if i could just focus it could be up in 36 hours.
dont get hopes too high though, in response to people like you (above poster) ive lowered standards slightly to increase release rate =) (its still ok though).. (it has a titan in it)
