well it will be interesting to see what CCP do, if carebear thieves start start organising and stealing from carebear miners.

Once again, I will ask please make it so we can shoot ore thieves.
It's not a problem that they steal ore and such so much as that they do it at no risk to themselves.
If they want to come in and steal someone elses time, that's ok. I just think that they should have to face the consequences of that theft.
And for those of you who are going to say it's not stealing...bite me, everyone here knows the drill, it's a theft plain and simple.
At least pirates take a risk that that miner they are trying to gank is actually loaded for bear...maybe not much of a risk, but at least it's there.
Ore thieves need some balance. That balance should come at the end of a gun.

CCP have stated they are working on the criminal flagging so ore thieves can indeed be shot.
Personally we mine into jet cans and you have to take the risk of theft, but my will it be cool to shoot back :)
I rarely mine but find it laughable to say noobs lose out because of Battleship miners.
For pity sake they can only mine a few thousand units an hour and even the most decimated belts can support a noob in a frigate.
Our HQ is in Lustrevik and we sometimes do battleship mine if we need specific amounts of ore. Even then there are 15 other belts with hundreds of roids available. BS Mining is not a problem.

I'll be returning to empire soon.......And I think I'll try my hand at ore thieft........If its one thing I'm sick of, it's players crying about other players tactics.....
I was having a convo with intergalactic serenity today, they couldnt understand why I was stealing there ships and then blowing them up........
....."afterall" they said "you dont get much insurance" ......well I do it for the very same reason pirates blow indys up..for sheer injoyment 
I'm a proud member of Tookurstuff by the way.....

ROFL! Organized? Organized?!? So you must consider getting pinned down by another ship ramming yours while 5k npc rats kill you during an attempted ore theft as organization? Really, it hurts to laugh this hard. I've got tears in my eyes from all the laughter. You kids are great for a laugh. I know you idolize all the real ore thieves out there, but you'll never grow up to be one if you can't learn how to successfully steal ore and get away before getting popped by the NPCs. yes once, but only once have our corp been resoponsibe fr strip mning 3 belts in jita, however this was a act of desperation at the time and not something we do as a rule . but we did have several suicide alts avalible to take care of any ore thieves that turned up i feel tho that ore thieves do have a part tyo play in trying to keep those big corps out of the safe areas desinged for noobs.

C'mon! If you leave it out there in a "free for all" farking can you'll have to accept that it will happen sometime. I've never felt the need to do it but have been subject to it 1 time so far. Just have to accept it coz other people are playing this game too, just in another way.

if you imagine ore theft would disappear when BS mining stops in 0.8+ you are most likely mistaken.
A number of "ore thefts" are really n00bs that know no better.
Still expect to see larger corps with suicide frigates laying traps for ore thieves in safe space soon.
I am sure they are going to be looking forward to seeing those ore thieves poking about.
