I say lets have more of the big kill missions. Lets even have some bigger rats to kill. I am hopefully waiting to get a mission with one of these insanely high bounty rats. They are the only reason i still bother with missions.

It'd be nice to get a mission where I actually get hit back by the rats, I think it has happened only once or twice when I was being lazy, and even then 5% shield damage is nothing to be concerned with. We want tougher mission rats! Or hurry up with level 4 agents!
Currently no level 3 missions are a challenge for battleship users, as already said even being hit back is a rare thing. The rumors about this mission (The Blockade / Gone Beserk) spawning a 550k rat is good news, a small step in the right direction I guess. __________________

I have done the blockade mission only once, but I liked it. It was a challenge in a cruiser. The mission description said I had to kill only 4 rats though.
To prevent others from looting cans, could they be tagged for ownership? I personally like collecting the loot, as there are a number of named items.
As for the spawn on top of you problem, these rats are supposed to be coming through the gate, so they should. If I'm 50km away from the gate the next wave should not spawn on top of me.

Originally by: Na'Axin I like the mission.... but since it happens so often and some people just don't bother picking up the cans it has a tendancy of getting a little bit laggy at the gate.
btw I switched kill agents today after doing Pirate Invasion 6 times in a row.... I don't like doing 30 minutes on one kill mission :/
I'd pay isk to get this mission 6 times in a row :)

I've gotten this mission several times, the first time was an important one and it gave me the limited occular filter. The rest have been reg missions with standard rewards.

I had the "going berserk" mission today, it was a lot of fun only iwas a little disappointed when the 3rd wave consisting of a 550ker and a 40ker was so easy to deal with. surely a 550k rat at 40km should be able to do some damage, but no, he hit me with 1 heavy missile before he died, it took about 3 volleys, maybe 4 not sure, from my launchers (ie 15-20 scourge) to take him down. dont get me wrong this is a great mission, but at least give us a challenge for our half million isk!

its a regular damn cruiser that has a 6x or whatever bounty on its head, called a commander. difference is, it can actually drop decent stuff, and they seem to drop mostly named stuff every time.

I've just gone from lvl 2 missions to lvl 3 missions. I got the Gone Beserk mission with Guristas. So there I was trying to do it in my Kessy. Bloodclaws and smart bombs work for the demolishers, then orbiting at high speed worked for the terrorists. But then I got silenced by the Silencer had to run away, it's shooting at me too fast for me to handle. Suggestions? smart tactics? |

I see numerous posts about lvl3 missions being too easy for BS pilots but I think it would be a mistake to increase the difficulty too much more. It is important to remember that not everyone flies a BS, ie I have 12.5m SP mainly in combat skills but I can only fly cruisers (out of choice), making the missions difficult for BS pilots would ruin it for cruiser pilots.
Imo lvl3 missions should all be doable by a reasonably experienced cruiser pilot with lvl4 and above being more suited to BS pilots (when they finally arrive). Now I realise that the info given on lvl4 agents so far suggests they won't be doable by solo BS pilots, this I believe would be a mistake as it would leave no room for having missions suited both to solo cruiser pilots and solo BS pilots. Having said that however, as lvl4 agents aren't around yet it could end up that they are doable by solo experienced BS pilots, only time will tell.

...actually i'm an avg not-noob chara wth 5.8mil SP and I use a rax on the missions... heck the commander (elder guardian sentry on this case) is damn easy! -------------------

OK, I have done the "Gone Berserk" mission about 20 times, but not "The Blockade" yet. I have never gotten the 550k rat at the end. Is it only on "The Blockade"? And if so, does it always spawn?

I second this. A friend and I just lost arch-angel loot to a ****er who sat a few km away from the target, because it wouldn't fire on him.
Move the mission away from the gates! Every other mission involves rats warping into the middle of nowhere, why does this one have to be different?
