jita lag is beyond a joke 17 minutes i spent warping and backwards warping and still to this day you dnt seem to be doing anything about it get your fingers out and fix this issue as a paying customer for this game it is ridicoulous the money yous make from this game should be more than enough for yer wages and to fix these issues. so instead of fixing stupid little things and nerfing things and so on get to grips with the actuall quality of the gameplay itself

Cable repairs set back by second undersea break The Sea Me We 4 cable has broken again, disrupting efforts to restore communications between Europe and Asia. James Niccolai (IDG News Service) 30/12/2008 06:43:00
Efforts to restore normal communications between Europe and Asia have suffered a setback after an important undersea cable broke for a second time, this time at a much greater depth.
Engineers from France TTlTcom had just finished repairing the Sea Me We 4 cable on Dec. 25 when the same cable broke again in a different place, this time 388 kilometers (241 miles) off the coast of Alexandria in Egypt, a France TTlTcom spokesman said Monday.
The repair ship the "Raymond Croz," which had just finished repairing the first break, was on its way to Sicily on Monday to pick up more cable to repair the second break, which happened more than 3,000 meters (9,800 feet) under the sea, the spokesman said.
The ship is expected to arrive at the site of the latest incident on Dec. 31 and the repairs now won't be completed until Jan. 4 or 5, the spokesman said, which would be 10 days later than originally expected.
Sea Me We 4 is one of four undersea cables that were cut on Dec. 19, disrupting voice and Internet traffic between Europe and several countries in Africa, the Middle East and Asia, including Egypt, India and Singapore.
Much of the traffic has been diverted across the Pacific and through North America, but this has slowed connection speeds from Europe and Asia and places an additional burden on the other cables used for rerouting.
France TTlTcom, which is part of a consortium that operates the Sea Me We cables, has made Sea Me We 4 its priority and is not saying now when it expects Sea Me We 3 to be repaired.
Reliance Globalcom, which operates the Flag Telecom Europe-Asia and Go-1 cables, which were also cut Dec. 19, said Sunday it expected those cables to be repaired Monday.
The first cable breaks were blamed on trawler fishing nets, a ship's anchor or an undersea earthquake. They occurred in a shallow part of the Mediterranean Sea between Sicily and Tunisia, at a depth of only a few hundred meters.
The latest incident occurred 1,400 km away off the coast of Egypt. The cause was likely an undersea landslide or earthquake, the France TTlTcom spokesman said.
The incidents highlight the fragility of the submarine cables that carry voice and Internet traffic thousands of miles between continents. The Flag and Sea Me We cables were also cut in February this year.

Edited by: Fizzle Fingers on 30/12/2008 11:12:55 Since the patch Jita is not laggy at all for me now 95% of the time.
The one thing I do have problems with in Jita since the patch is the amount of desync which I think the OP actually means. it is really bad in there quite often. even had to resort to stuck petitions to get ship moved out as while I could see my ships at the stargates they wouldnt let me jump as I was not close enough (was at 0).
The rubber banding effect does get tiresome as you see yourself warping in and then a min or so later you are rewarping again.

jita was always about 500 and topping on about 700 before ccp added own node to it. after that performance went considerably up. not long from that there started to be like 800 to 900 people constantly and topping on about 1200 players. are people ****ing stupid or what. and big part of those new people are just more scam alts people added there. get those spamming ****s out there and it will be better.

The Jita node can now comfortably support over 900 folks. A few months ago it melted down at 500+.
The surrounding system's agents now no longer send you to Jita.
The autopilot now has settings that allow you to avoid Jita, no matter how functionally ******ed you may be.
You chose to go to the single busiest system in a game that sports 30k online most days.
CCP can only go so far towards protecting you from your own stupidity.
And, on a personal note - this type of post comes across as nothing but petulant whining. Frankly - after the amount of effort and expense that has been put into making this type of Jita whine unnecessary, if I worked for CCP, I would right now be inventing a device to stab people in the face via the forum software. Because of you. ----------------

She is right. Jita is exceptionally laggy _today_. I experienced several (5-7) rewarps to the Niyabainen gate w. an alt trying to get out. Any time I pressed jump or tried to use the autopilot, I got the "please get closer to the gate" message and a rewarp. Ended up petitioning as stuck - at which point I was finally getting out.
Local had about 687 or so at the time. Nothing Jita should not be able to handle w. the new Stackless IO stuff. Well, it did not handle it.

Anyone have that Jita/Ravenholm pic?
Jita's not nearly as bad as it used to be. How about you DON'T go to Jita? The systems surrounding it have just as much stuff, and a hell of a lot less people. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Follow my travels through the Eve galaxy at my fancy new blog The Red Eye Express |

It's one of those constant things in Eve.
Jita will always lag, and people will always complain about it. Once in a while CCP will do some crazy amazing programming voodoo that makes Jita able to support loads more people, and, like the lemmings they are, people will just continue to pile in until it lags again.
