With high sec going empty - I suggest you guys contact some low sec residents about mining permits.
Destrys Lounge would be glad to help you setup a low sec mining permit - for a small fee .

so you found several empty belts near a very busy system and instead of flying to a less busy system - you decided to check every single belt in the busy areas?

FFS, you're in empire. You can can spawn flipper-free roid belts on demand. Just pull a mission and go MINE IT.
Or, if you got an extra chromosome for christmas, rent lowsec space from pirates.

I'm pretty sure there were posts from the Devs indicating that regeneration happens on a "share" basis - some fields get a bigger share of the regenerated ores, with all the ore that is mined being regenerated by being distributed out to the every field in lots or quotas.
This belt over here in Pator might have 1 share (it's full of puny veldspar rocks). That belt over there in Shala might have 4 shares (it regenerates quickly, and the rocks are usually larger).
The moral of the story is to go run missions until you get "Break their Will", "Mordus Folly (1 of 2)", "Cargo Delivery", level 2 "Unauthorised Presence" or any number of rock-rich missions.

I mine in a low sec system for hours on end sometimes without seeing a single person come through. no station and in a dead end direction no one cares to come around anyway. 600k Veld off just 2 or 3 roids. All bout just knowing where to look.
