It is really crazy that players automatically appear on local regardless of whether they want to or not.
Why do you even need a scanner? The player is on local.
This out of game "feature" defeats the whole idea of scanning, agent location, etc.
The obvious solution is to give every player the option to join or (not join) local like all the other channels. Duh.

lol defood, I was thinking the same thing, before I read your reply.
yes people, please read them at least once in awhile.. I admit I do not relly them ritualy but I do try and hit them once a week or two.

Well, actually, that's where the ideas is coming... probably not just from thin air...
Guess he like to have his name in the Author part of the thread list OR He just don't know how to reply to a thread without starting a new one...
But many time where a subject is hot in a thread (reaching 7+ pages) peoples start new threads with their opinions on the subject just to... well, I really don't know why, it just force you to reply in 10 differents thread so nobody care anymore... great way to TRASH a subject because you can't follow it everywhere anymore... |

I'm willing to bet that the Local channel is required for information traffic beside just chat traffic, so it can't really be eliminated. Turning off local chat in a system, even if it is of low security rating, isn't realistic.
Instead, perhaps having a way to mask your name or information in systems of low ratings?
