1st of all - excellent kill guys. To those of you thinking its no big deal - not everyone plays the 0.0 alliance game, super cap kills are very nice for smaller corps/alliances. I look forward to the day my corp gets one for itself.
2ndly - what is so bad about the mothership fit? How would you have fit it differently? Smartbombs aren't as useful with the citadel torp HP buff. He probably died because he stupidly flew a mothership with not enough support.
Anyways - good job Veto - I'm envious for sure.

There's only 3 dictors on the KM, if he'd fit his highs properly (with some heavy neuts and a remote ecm burst) or even just split up his ECM drones between the HICs he'd probably have gotten out (bumping aside).
Smartbombs are still good for killing off drones/fighters thus removing some DPS off you. Also get enough together and you can still pop citadels.

The fit is hardly terrible tbh, it could use some changes but compared to some of the **** i've seen thrown on moms it isn't bad.

From what I understand supercaps can't dock anyway, so he cynoed in... somewhere and was got. His highs could have been better fit but with 3 falcons I don't see him getting out anyway. I think you are correct in that his main stupidity was flying a mom with little or no support.

Pretty much this.
But seriously, wth do people keep fitting DCU's.. It's sad to see on carriers, but on motherships? /facepalm. If he planned to hug a POS and assign fighters, or wanted to go down in a blazing ratting way, then I'd accept the DCU's, even tho the latter would bring out a massive  but that's the way I'd like to end EVE one day. Ratting in low sec in a MS full with DCU's.
Neut and smartbomb is mandatory, hell even on carriers, even more crucial if he flies around without support. The remote ECM is a nobrainer for travelling. Especially now that officer web/disruptors means that HICs can safely stay out of tackle range. 2-3 HICs and you're screwed, no heavy neut? ECM drones/burst? No support? You just basicly gave your ship away.

Durrrp - OK thanks for explaining I forgot about the EWAR immunity. Heavy neuts 'could' have saved him.
I thought the tank and remote reps looked solid - but the lack of heavy neuts to deal with HICs in low sec - I see the problem now.

Aye the mids and lows were fine, but the highs were ******ed; only explanation i can think of given the amount of remote reps and the relative sanity of the rest of the fit is that he expected backup.
Still, stupid though.
